Re: Growing Concern Post-Procedure

Thank you for this incredible forum. It has assuaged many concerns. I am 7-weeks post procedure. My surgeon used and AMS 700 device. My dilemma is I am still in discomfort along both sides of my penis. I also have semi-rigidity even though the device is 100% deflated. I am 71 y/o and diabetic; othe...

All three implants were Titans with the Genesis pump.

Re: 2nd Coloplast failure in less than 2 year!

So sorry to hear this 1Roofer, I know how you feel. First 2 implants had the pumps break, the first one at 11 months and the revision at 5 months. My third one implanted 9/24/19 has developed an huge aneurysm on the right side. Like you, I was more conservative with the two revisions so I don’t know...

Re: Bubble on right side!

The revision was 4 months ago and didn't notice this til 3 weeks ago. At first it was not much and thought it was part of the process ( my own tissue in the scrotum, tubes moving, etc), but now it seems to be getting larger. Now about 1"+ diameter on the side of the cylinder, not on the bottom...

Re: Bubble on right side!

I believe that would depend on how long ago you were implanted, whether the sutures in the corporotomy held the tissue together to knit during original recovery and whether the tissues were pulled open or only the sutures broke. Translation (in my opinion, I'm not a doctor!): If the sutures were ho...

Re: Bubble on right side!

LA Johnson, my first thought is that you might have ruptured a corporotomy (the sutures holding the right corpus cavernosum closed). I would get it checked out immediately. I would imagine that if the corporotomy has been compromised, you could do more damage if you cycle so personally I would hold...

Re: Bubble on right side!

I have a question when there is unit failure, does the manufacturer take responsibility and replaces it? Did or does your insurance pay for the repair ? Thanks Mike Yes, my insurance covered the revisions. I was still responsible for my end PPO. The "health care" system is just a shell ga...

Bubble on right side!

A bubble seems to have developed just below the base of my shaft on the right cylinder. Can't feel it when deflated, but when inflating it begins to rise at 50-60% and grows with each pump. I seem to remember a discussion on the board a year or so ago along these lines but have had no luck in my sea...

Re: Rear Tip Extender Sling?

As the corpora goes down into your body it bends a bit or spreads. Make a bit of a curve so to speak. We all are different and some go deeper and or bend more than others. But If for some reason the RTE breaks through the corpora and out where it should not a sling may be used to repair this. If yo...

Rear Tip Extender Sling?

Hi guys, have any of you knowledgeable guys had a “rear tip extender sling”? What I read seemed a bit vague. Surgery report says, “possible proximal perforation” as the reason.

Asking because no one told me about this, Dr or staff post-surgery.
