1 Year On

So I don’t post much. But I often browse the posts. This forum was a huge resource pre implant so thank you all. I felt it important to at least update. Here in the U.K. the discussions and access to info is very limited indeed and is men here in the U.K. are a shy lot. So one year on having used Dr...

Re: Floppy head

I would suggest you get your operating notes urgently. The very fact you were not even sure what surgery you were getting or any detailed discharge notes is dreadful. The fact your surgeon who had previously seen you and agreed what was required and then may not have operated on you is a disgrace. S...

Re: Floppy head

Did the surgeon not visit you post surgery. It’s most odd that he would not have. After all he has just cut your old man about.

Re: Floppy head

I agree. With such major surgery your discharge is vitally important and list all requirements both in terms of contacts, who did what, when, pain control etc. This is beyond shoddy. I agree. Complain very very loudly.

Re: Floppy head

Mmmm. Where are your pain control instructions and those you were discharged with should be noted. Where is the subject matter other than ED? The surgeons sign off. Etc etc. This can’t be correct procedure surely. I may be wrong as I don’t profess to know the workings of the nhs but there is scant i...

Re: Floppy head

I did and do hold a direct line and email into the surgeons offic. Albeit direct contact is always firstly via his team but when insistent he is available. I cannot imagine how frustrating the monster of the nhs is when there are concerns. Nonetheless your surgeon can’t be hard to track down as they...

Re: Floppy head

Make sure you are clear what you have and haven’t been told. It appears your revision was on 10/12 or 11/12 so only 4 days out and it appears you had already “used it two days after surgery. I’m fairly sure. You would not be healed enough but I’m no expert on revisions. I know in the USA it seems th...

Re: Floppy head

Firstly my heart goes out to you if this revision is as bad as it appears. Secondly you need to immediately contact the surgeon and gather his reaction as frankly there wa only on reason for the revision. If this is unsatisfocatory you must take notes and ask for you surgical notes in full. Make it ...
