Re: leak after revision
They changed out everything. Went from AMS to Titan. Dick went from long and thin to short and fat. I preferred long and thin but we don’t get to choose.

Re: leak after revision
I had similar issues. I noticed that the number of pumps till flat was getting less and less. Eventually I could only get to 80% hard. When Dr confirmed leak and scheduled surgery for 4 months out, I just left myself at the 80% hard mark so as to have something usable during the wait for revision. H...

Re: Implant Lessons Learned
I think surgeons should make as accurate a measurement as externally possible before surgery. My size requires a special order and I don’t think they had the proper unit in stock at hospital. This resulted in rte’s that might have been avoided. Even revision unit was not sized well. Talk it out befo...

Re: big stats survey [erection-length | implant-length ] add yours
Implant 1
24 cm (+0.5 cm rte), length 8.25 inches
Implant 2
26 cm, length 6.5 inches
Not sure I get longer implant and much shorter length.

Re: Fully Pumped Tucked Into the Waistband
For me, pumped and up through the waistband as you described, is less visible than deflated and down the leg. If using the waistband conceal method, be sure to be inflated hard enough that you don’t kink and fall below the belt. That is very visible and somewhat uncomfortable.

Re: Bulge (tubing) at base of penis?
This seems to be an issue with those 7” and above. When the anatomy is long on shaft in relation to internal the implant tubing junction tends to be more visible on the shaft. The implants are adjustable to add RTE’s to increase the length of the internal structure, which pushes the junction towards...

Re: My insurance denied the implant surgery
Benefits is telling you it is a covered procedure but not disclosing the circumstances under which it will be approved. The authorization folks are saying you have not met (documented actually) the criteria for approval. Be sure to supply documentation showing you have exhausted all other forms of t...

Re: Mechanical failure study...very interesting..
Just to chime in with my two cents.....I have had so many failures it really is depressing. The longest a device has lasted was 3 years 10 months. The shortest was 3 months. (Well I had one that lasted less than a month because of a leak in the cylinder.) I know some guys have them last a long time...

Re: Mechanical failure study...very interesting..
I posted a study where 15K men who received implants were used as a data base. And the results were in excess of 90% of devices lasting 10 years. This is not brag or speculation from the manufacturers. This is a study of a large number of men and I would bet a very large number of them have never h...

Re: Mechanical failure study...very interesting..
When I had a mechanical failure at 3 years, I started paying attention to the time of failures reported on this site. I understand that folks with no issues may tend to stay quiet while folks with failures complain. Of those who complained, I noted very few failure complaints in the “expected” 10 ye...
