Thank you for your support. After 6 days of high dose anti-biotic, the infection has cleared out and I no longer feel any pain the groin. It was a close call, but thank God, it is gone now. for what its worth, my dr. used the genesis pump, an older model.
he said they were much less problematic over the long run.

So far the only problem is leaking urine from the catheter at the penis. It wets the dressing so I've had to reinstall some dressing myself.
