Re: Hobbies
@LeRoastBeef How many times have you come off a bike and smacked your nuts? OK - I can see why an implant may be necessary ... Motorcycling has not proven a problem: even the most flyweight of bikes have seats that are relatively plush and we don't rely on our sit bones when astride them. Dunno abou...

Re: Recommended surgeon in Asia?
As Smetro says, Chris Love has an excellent reputation and does lots of these. An alternative in Melbourne (who did mine, to my considerable satisfaction) is Dr. Justin Chee. He also teaches, and I believe that he may also practice in China/Hong Kong or thereabouts - it would be worth contacting his...

Re: Why does my new Titan back fill?
Mate, I've a Coloplast too, 15 months in. "Flaccid" it's a fugly piece of work: dog ear on the right hand side so I wear it pointed straight left in undies, must squeeze it to deflate, and it backfills to about 40%: enough for the astute observer to realise that I'm hung like a horse, but ...

Re: Engorgement after implant: good or not?
As I understand it (and I could well be wrong) engorgement of the glans is physically not tied to engorgement of the shaft. So, the possibility of going full mushroom after implant remains. I recall reading that viagra may promote this. My own experience has been that my glans doesn't swell, and it ...

Re: What Do You Do First 3 Days
Cold works for some, heat worked for me. Soaking in a hot bath gave blessed relief to what was an, ahem, difficult period. It all gets better eventually, though. Much, much better.

Re: Timeline Of Cycling Pain
Individual responses are highly variable. Some seem to be running about after a fortnight. Others, like me, were in very significant pain for 6-7 weeks. But it DOES get better. And warmth of baths, heat packs and so on is a big help.

Re: contact sports - fights - airport xrays
I have generally tried to avoid getting kicked in the nuts throughout my life. I guess I'm just sensitive like that. Nothing's changed.

Re: Biking after Implant
Glad it's working for you two. Me, too. The sit bones seem to have acclimatised quickly, and while I couldn't spend hours at a time in the drops, I can do a few Ks in them if I have to. And I have - wicked north winds for the last couple of weeks here in Melbourne. And cold too: only around 10-14ºC.

Re: 30 year old getting implant
Jamie I, too, have BUPA coverage - not the highest level, but they picked up all but $250 of the hospital/theatre costs (and they were plenty, I understand: around $25K for 2 nights, but don't quote me on that). My implant was done by Justin Chee. He charged me $7,500 + initial consultation of perha...

Re: What do you tell people?
As I could blame my ED on prostate cancer, I have had no trouble telling my male acquaintance that I've had my dick rebuilt. And I proselytise amongst others whose prostates have been removed that they should oughta get theirs rebuilt too. But were I younger, and lacking the obvious excuse of prosta...
