I don't qualify to answer your question because I've never used tri-mix but I'll comment anyhow. I've been using mono-mix for about 10 years. It works consistently and works well. I figure, why add more drugs when not necessary? What I'm doing works well so I don't mess with success.

Talk to your regular primary care provider. Know exactly what you want, show a previous script, explain that you're being forced to pay rip off prices and ask him/her to write you a script you can shop around with. That's what I did.
