To be on the safe side I would recommend that you get and keep a copy of your operational report from your original surgeon. The doc who later does your revision may find it beneficial it preparing for your second surgery.

I agree with FlaDon. For me it was a non-issue. However, looking back I was thankful for it as it allowed me to just lay in bed or the recliner and not having to worry about constantly getting up. In fact, I would worry more about not having one.
