Re: Well I did it! Today
Day 5 AI (after implant) OK the pain is still there. It never has been terrible but there. I would say maybe 4-6. Mostly 4. Using mainly Tylenol. I've taken a stronger med a couple of times but not many. More bruising the last couple of days. Swelling is way down. Balls about half of what they were....

Re: Well I did it! Today
day3: Actually 2.5 but anyhow. The swelling is down some. Still there but it is noticeably less. Still lots of bruising but that's to be expected. The pain, though not terrible is still there but so far regular Tylenol has been enough. Been using ice and last night and this morning started using a h...

Re: Well I did it! Today
Day 1. Went back to the Dr today. Removed the catheter and bandages. Not too bad. Balls look the size of a large orange. Penis is not too bad. Took a pain pill before I went because I knew he was going to deflate it. He had it up to about 50% after surgery. Pretty much deflated to around 5/10%. Said...

Re: Well I did it! Today
Back home. All went well according to the nurses and the Dr. He said he put in a 18+3. Go back tomorrow to have the catheder removed and the dressing removed. I also think he deflates it completely. So far only moderate discomfort. So we will see. Now let the healing begin.

Well I did it! Today
Today at 13:30 I go in for my surgery. :) Have to be there at 12:00 to get things started. It's kind of interesting, I'm not nervous, yet, but anxious. I'm sure I will be nervous as it gets closer to surgery time and especially after they take me back and start the prep. Then there's that period of ...

Re: Cost With Medicare
If you have medicare and a supplamental most if not all is covered. Medicare covers 80%, the supplamental covers the remaining 20% depending on which one. The medicare advantage will depend on the carrier. And if your Dr. accepts them. At least thats my understanding. Will know more this Wednesday. ...

Re: Well I did it!
Well I have been putting off the update about my surgery. I didn't want to jinx it. But here goes. I was scheduled for the 24 of Aug. But I found out that was my mother in laws 98 birthday so I had to reschedule. Plus I hadn't heard anything from my cardiologists about stopping the blood thinner. So...

Re: Type of anesthesia was used for your implants
I talked to my surgeon yesterday and he said that it took longer to come out of spinal than it did for the surgery so he only uses general.

Re: Well I did it!
Thanks all. Im hoping all goes well myself. We are both retired so there isnt much need to have to tell. But if we have to we'll use the hernia excuse. The good thing is that it's not more than half hour from the surgery center to me house.

Well I did it!
I had a Dr'. appointment last Monday. We discussed what was going on and what was new with me. I told him the pills really didn't do much more than what I could without them. Also told him I had went into AFib and had the conversion and now was taking nitro for chest pains. That took out upping the ...
