Re: Implant on a 20 year old

Hey Dave, I’ll just jump in here for a second. I read somewhere (maybe on the AMS or Coloplast pages) that after the implant your penis doesn’t “turtle”, it doesn’t withdraw into the body, as much so appears to be longer when flaccid. It looks like I’ll be able to speak from experience in about a mo...

Re: Help me find a doctor. Latest update Y'All

“I’m shooting for 10-19-11 (?)” I heard from Dr. Henry's office today and I guess I was a bit optimistic about the date, he's booked until the the start of Nov. The problem is that is when our son has leave prior to deployment to Afghanistan. So we'll be in California 'til the middle of Nov., seein...

Re: Help me find a doctor--latest update on Dr.Henry

:D My wife and I just got home from Shreveport (9-19-11). I’m typing this up while it’s fresh in my mind as I won’t be able to post it until Wed. night or Thu. when my Internet is to be reconnected. We met with Dr. Henry this morning; we were very pleased with him, nice guy with a good reputation an...

Re: Help me find a doctor. within 300 miles

OK, I got into Shreveport, La. this evening and will meet Dr. G. Henry in the morning for my initial office visit. I hope I'll like him as much as some of you seem to. I'm using the WiFi in the motel right now. My DSL, at home, was mistakenly disconnected and won't be fixed until Thursday, so I won'...

Re: AMS Ambicor 2-piece

The more I think about this thread, the more intrigued I am. I am seeing Dr. Gerard Henry in a couple of weeks and be sure this topic will come up. I would think that AMS would build the Ambicor to the same high standards as the CX and the LGX, so quality shouldn’t be an issue. My thinking is the fe...

Bionic Diabetics

Has anyone ever heard if there is any risk with diabetics, who inject insulin into their stomachs of puncturing the reservoir on a 3-piece implant? I inject twice a day, in different locations and wouldn’t want to deflate that puppy. I haven't talked to a Dr. about this, it's just a thought that cam...

Re: Help me find a doctor. within 300 miles - Update

Ok here’s where I stand, as of now. I am keeping the VA surgery on hold. My VA PC Dr. agrees that I should go with a Dr. that is highly recommended, that has a history that can be researched, rather than taking “potluck” with what might be some "pimple faced med. student" on his first oper...

Re: About to join the BIONIC world

Greg is right, you do need to get a lot of rest! Not for what you've been through but you need to rest up for what's ahead, after you heal.

Re: Underwear that's fun to wear

Do you realize it would take 2 to 2 ½ pairs of socks, rolled up, for me to fill any of those pouches? And I'm talking over the calf, heavy duty crew socks ( the ones they use to make sock monkeys out of). Hopefully after the implant I could cut that down to 1 ½ to 2 pairs, fully pumped.

Re: Help me find a doctor. within 300 miles

Hey Y’all! I finally got around to rubbing a couple of my brain cells together, last night and guess what I came up with? After all this messing around with the VA it dawned on me that I have a perfectly good Blue Cross ins. policy. I called them today and my policy does cover IPP surgery and it loo...
