Re: Looking for Implant Doctor in Houston TX
Cincinanatus, I have had the implant surgery 4 wks ago, by Dr Cornell, and like Roninhouston said, I never felt like I was an assembly line patient. Dr Cornell handled everything personally and when I ask about interns/residents, his answer was I handle this myself, these are my patients and I want ...

Re: Big Life Decision! Do I go for implant!
I have just one week ago (10/31/15) received an implant and one thing that made my decision easier was two good Uro surgeons telling me that implant surgery is a very easy operation to perform correctly, its only about a 30 min operation. " If the doctor is experienced it is very simple" ....

Meditate, it does not sound like things are improving for you, you have the opinion of at least one well respected expert so why not follow his advice. Ask the Dr about letting you talk to a patient of his that was in similar condition to yours to find out his thoughts.

Re: PSA going back up after surgery
Andy, I also had a robotic prostatectomy in October 2014, PSA at that time was 4.53, I had a Gleason score of 8. My Dr was Dr. Kenneth Slawin @ Vanguard Uro in Houston. He is involved in Prostate Cancer research and is also working on a vaccine to help with suppression of the cancer. There is anothe...

Dave, Good for you, If you and your wife are happy with your life (yours and hers) good for you. Re: Are all tri-mixes the same?
MWM, If I am correct there are different formulations of Tri-Mix, I think that any of the 3 meds can be adjusted. There is also Bi-Mix that does not contain the med that causes the pain. It takes more (I am using +80 units ) but it does not have the burning aching after using the med. I am also in t...

Re: Nudist with an implant
What about the rigidity when pumped up. I had a Dr tell me that the AMS 700 system does not get as rigid as the Titan. Does anyone with the AMS system feel like it should be more rigid?

I have also read on one of these forums about someone that used the little 1/2" wide velcro straps that are normally used to bundle your computer cables , etc . They said they were wide enough to hold the blood in with out too much pain. I don't know because I have never used them.

Re: Not what I bargained for - new guy
Well even though this is "not what I bargained for" It is what it is. So it is time to move on and try to improve the situation. I am scheduled to get an implant this Friday in Houston by Dr. Cornell. I am hoping that by Christmas I am a happy camper, Thanks for all of the answers and info...

Re: New to the boards - well, this one anyway :)
Midwestern, I have tried the whole gambit of things that we try. Pills, Pumps and rings, Muse, Tri-mix and ow Bi-mix. I have progressed to using 82 units of Bi-Mix plus I take a 20 mg Cialis 1 - 2 hrs before hand. that works tolerable at best, but so be it
