Re: Activation

6 wks, eh. Well, if that's what he told you to do, you should probably do it. That way, if anything goes wrong, you'll be able to say you followed the protocol. I'm 6 wks out tomorrow. I didn't wait, and I probably should have. I read on here guys talking about inflating after a week or so, so I wen...

Re: Lovely

Don't know, Ali. Confused. Had mine done 6 wks ago, and I have United. Oh, but that's a supplement (AARP) to Medicare. If you're not on Med, maybe that's the difference.

Re: Taking the plunge

DonB--I've said several times on this site, take as much time as you can to stretch before your surg. Sounds like some on FT didn't lose anything. I believe many do. But if your size, minus an inch or two, is not a problem for you, then, great. If you do stretch, keep as much blood flow down there a...

Re: When is small too small?

Twanger--You didn't mention your age, needs, desires, etc. What I'm getting at is, would you accept a remedy that took, say, a year? I had my Titan put in 6 wks ago, and I think I'll eventually be satisfied, especially if I can regain a little bit of what I lost in surgery But I am convinced that th...

Re: Tineys gone but....

I know this is an old thread, so my comment may never be read. But I have a little different perspective on the injections. First off, I did go from the shots to an implant, and it might have been inevitable. Who knows? I'm 5 weeks post op with a Titan. I feel like it's all healing properly, and it ...

Derrick---I had my Titan put in 5 weeks ago. You have great insurance. Identical to mine--AARP Advantage. They covered everything, even my airfare to Miami. No, just joking about that. But you're free to use any Dr you want. I didn't spend a single penny for the procedure. Good luck.

Re: Do you keep your implant totally secret?

dg--For one thing, bear in mind that whoever comes into your room is not going to be surprised. They know beforehand what's going on. Actually, unless you have a particular problem that needs addressing, chances are the only thing that will be happening is them taking your vitals every couple hrs, a...

Re: Implant is done

Bill--You offer some really good comments. I'm sure lots of guys have been reassured/educated. I had a Titan implanted nearly 5 weeks ago by Dr Perito. It's, perhaps, too early to be certain, but I'm a bit regretful at this point. One--that I didn't choose Kramer or others (Perito does not make hims...

Re: Got an Coloplast Titan Zero Degrees eight days ago: question

I also have a Titan, but actually, I don't know the exact model. What's Zero Degrees fellas? I'm on day 31. So far, I'm not a real happy camper. All the posts on this site keep saying patience, so I'm tryin. I'm disappointed that I don't really get to the flaccid state. Very awkward. From what I der...

Re: Dr. Perito experiences

I might add one thing flman---I also did not have a catheter. But watch out for that female doctor. Before she discharges you, her job is to deflate you. I came out of surgery about 70% inflated. I asked her how experienced she was at this, and she said "oh, a lot". She's a very sweet lady...
