Re: Revision done 2/9
Sounds like a lot of time under the knife; given the choice. would you do it again?
A good and hard question to answer. Playing the game of "what if", is always tricky. In the world of what I know now... I would have fought harder from the start to go with my current surg...

Re: Revision done 2/9
Hey gregorbehr sorry for your complications, question: What caused the scar tissue to start forming? Was it the implant?
I had Peyronie's issues following my 2nd TURP surgery. The tissue in the shaft tore from the scope they used and left me with a painful left pointing bend. The b...

Revision done 2/9

Well what a crappy way to spend my birthday... in the hospital. As I had posted earlier, the right cylinder of my implant shifted out of place and was in danger of poking through the skin. Thankfully no pain, but surgery got rushed and set in just 6 days! It would seem because of all the scar tissue...

Re: An Infection After Surgery

Who did the surgery? I had my 2nd one done there... lost the first one due to infection.
I'm having "touch up" tomorrow, as the right cylinder has shifted and in danger of poking through the skin.

Implant 2.0 v1

Doc says we gotta fix it! Playing the insurance game, since he's not in my insurance network to get approval for surgery next Monday the 9th (my birthday of all days)... so I can be on a flight on Thursday the 12th to the Netherlands! UGH!!! After a botched first implant and a tricky but rather pain...

Re: Veterans Admin and Penile Implant Procedure.

I don'y know anything about the ins and outs of VA coverage, but my urologist works at two hospitals, one of them being the local VA. He told me he does most of his implant work there.
So there must be something in your VA insurance to help off set the cost.

Re: Dr. Karpman...Insurance Issues

I'm curious, did you ask your insurance company or did Karpman's office put in the request? I'm in San Francisco and went outside of my insurance group to go to my surgeon at UCSF Medical Center. Between a recommendation from my primary physician and the doc's careful wording for the insurance reque...

Re: Black and Blue and Penile Implant

Think of the discoloration as a bruise. You're shaft has been cored out to make room for the tubes... which were then pushed and pulled into place. Your penis got into a fight with the doctor and the doctor won. :)
Like any other bruise, it will fade away in a few weeks.

Re: AMS 700 LGX vs CX

The major difference is indeed the LGX expands in time in both girth and length, where as the CX only expands in length. Due to a hot bed of scar tissue in my shaft, my doc spent 5 hours installing a CX. There was just so much scar tissue and hardly any stretch left in the penis to make any real use...
