Re: Should I just go ahead and get an implant??

That is a long hard choice with permanent results. Think long, hard and if its is your style, pray. What to consider is how well to the other treatments for ED work for you and how committed will you be to using them. As for the ladies would your select other be comfortable with you if you had a kne...

Re: My implant died at exactly 3 years.

Hey Catman, I an relate to that only the timings are different. Cancer, injections, implant, cancer recurrence, radiation, implant failure, excellent revision. Still going strong.

Re: Are flaccid Titans uncomfortable?

Can't speak to Titans, however, there is a difference in the feel of an AMS LGX versus their CX (closest in action to Titan). My current CX is definitely longer deflated than was my LGX. This makes it more likely to show when I wear certain clothing. Looks "nice" in a Speedo. I am a little...

Re: LGX - Length and Girth Expansion?

The LGX has an 18% expansion factor. This means that it can become 18% longer if the tissue in which it is implanted stretches to the degree that will allow it. It doesn't immediately produce an 18% expansion, that must be obtained over a rather prolonged period of stretching by pumping to discomfor...

Re: Which Model is the right one for me?

Can't give you any Coloplast info but I am just now 7 weeks from a revision with a new AMS CX. My first implant was and LGX model. From this experience I can tell you that the LGX that I had for 4.5 years stored well and worked well until it failed. The new CX unit is not as flexible flaccid and is ...

Re: Question about penis after surgery

If you had a revision (remove and replace), the puffy spot especially in the scrotum might be where the old components were. I had a fairly large puffy area in my scrotum where the original pump resided, To help keep down any chance of infection my surgeon used a different area in the scrotum and th...

Re: Greg1956 One Week Post-op Appt.

Sounds great! It also sounds like you have a surgeon you trust for all your urological needs, that is a great plus. I am five weeks out from a revision done by a surgeon that I trust with my wife's urological problems as well as mine. It is a great feel to be able to trust and talk with your doctor....

Re: Glad I am not going crazy

Well I know from signatures that on of the poor outcomes was from an implant surgeon that works through Vanderbilt. 5 years ago he was one of the got to doctors with a high volume practice, now he seems to be drawing complaints. I wonder if that is from "factory" performance or if he has j...

Re: revision question

Definitely the revision was less painful overall. Because of prior surgeries I always have an abdominal incision for the reservoir. This time the abdominal incisions was more painful than the first. Soon though everything was better. No pain medication on revision, in action at 4 weeks. So revision ...

Re: Greg1956 Newly Implanted

On the disposable urinal, I didn't take mine with me on the first go rounds, smarter second time. Any fairly deep vase will also work; the opening has to be big enough for comfort and the vase big enough to hold the water when it is at an angle. I used an old vase the first time around; plants didn'...
