Re: A Tale of Injection Woe, Continuing Woe.

When I was using injections my chemist regularly had Caverject supply problems. The solution is to get your prescription changed to allow Viridal to be prescribed as an alternative to Caverject. This is exactly the same as Caverject ( pge1/alprostadil ) and is available under the NHS. Judging by you...

Re: The choice of a good doctor for my implant

Mr Ralph certainly used to use the AMS LGX. Read the blog at http://rugbydave.blogspot.com/ a detailed account by Rugby Dave who was implanted some 4 years ago. He seems very happy with the result.

Re: Penoscrotal scar

I had a horizontal penoscrotal incision. By the 3 month point the scar had almost completely disappeared. Now at the 9 month point I can just see a very faint silvery fine line where the incision was made but I do not think a partner would ever be able to notice it.

Re: Caverject for performance anxiety related ED

It really is not a difficult problem. Just get some 1/2 inch 30g single use insulin syringes. A sharp pull will remove the plunger. Squirt the required quantity of Caverject ( I would suggest starting with no more than 5 mcg - 25 units from the 20 mcg Caverject syringe) reinsert the plunger, tap the...

Re: What delivery system of Caverject would this be? CAVERJECT PWD 20UG KIT 5’S

Most Urologists would start you with 5mcg and check the response gradually working up the dose ( at least 24 hours apart ) until you have a firm erection lasting no longer than one hour. We are all different in the amount required. Initially I needed about 23 or 24mcg for a good result. However as t...

Re: What delivery system of Caverject would this be? CAVERJECT PWD 20UG KIT 5’S

In the UK Caverject in doses of 20mcg or less is supplied in a dual chamber syringe (dry powder / bacteriostatic water ). 40 mcg is supplied as a syringe containing bacteriostatic water and a vial containing dry powder. Both should be stored long term in a refrigerator but are stable at room tempera...

Re: Floppy head

I am not sure that going private in UK necessarily makes a difference to care other than, perhaps, getting an earlier operation date (I waited 2 months on our NHS). I was seen 7 days after my operation by the nurse specialist whom I had met during my initial surgeon consultation and who had deflated...

Another UK Implant Experience

I was implanted at Leicester General Hospital on 20/3/2018 and, as a long time Franktalk member, I thought that it would be useful to post my experience thus far. As far as I am aware there have been no posts from UK patients implanted other than at UCLH London (Mr Ralph/Mr Muneer) We are all differ...

Re: 1 Month "dry"

I had the same problem 2 weeks ago in UK. Phamacist spoke to Pfizer rep who told him that they had underestimated the demand. However I was also told by the phamacist that he believed the supply was being restricted to stop the sale of UK supplies overseas where Caverject is much more expensive ( fo...
