Re: any erosion victims here? input requested

Thanks, Newbie. I haven't done a search for past posts - that is a good idea. Fortunately, I have not had another pain episode for several days so I am hoping this was a transient side effect of my spine surgery. I expected to get another decade out of my implant - I am surprised looking for a revis...

any erosion victims here? input requested

Hi, group - I hope everyone is having a great holidays season. I may have an erosion problem, but wanted to get impressions here. I got an LGX implant about 8 years ago (post-prostatectomy) and have been very happy with it. I had Peyronie's which made intercourse problematic, but this was completely...

Re: floppy head

I'd be surprised if they can fix that other than replacing the implant. However, I understand that replacing one is relatively less challenging than the initial surgery.

Re: Pump Pop

I agree, you want the pop - that is your indication that the valve is closed. Sometimes I have to pump a couple of times before I get the pop. I cycle it everyday in the shower. When I am done, I open the valve and leave it open - if I get a nighttime woody (which has never happened since the implan...

Re: Reason for Implant Surgery

I really don't like to lie. However, what I discovered is that in order to insert the reservoir, you are given a hernia, so you can truthfully say you are having a hernia procedure. The only trouble I got with this one was from a friend who recently had a hernia procedure and wanted the details. I w...

Re: Losing Length so Getting Serious About Implant

Ultimately, it is your decision as to whether you can "commit" to the implant or not. As for myself, I am glad I did. As time went on past my prostatectomy, it became clear that the odds of being able to get rid of the ED were just not there, and SRT just made things worse. I developed pla...

Re: Oh well...

Greg, I'm so sorry that you had such a horrific experience. The insurance problems on top of that must be very difficult. Hopefully your insurance will cover a redo once you heal enough?

I wish you well. Sounds like you have had a rough time of it the last few times. You deserve an easy recovery.

Re: Should I or Should I not

Bama, I would agree with SteveTex, implant should be a last resort. That said, as a last resort, it worked out really well for me. None of the anxiety I had before the implant with wondering how sex would go, whether it was going to be an effort in futility or not. No discomfort, just some things to...

My doc had me off my feet for the first week, back to work the second week.
