Finally on my way

Hi Following on from my previous posts and my decision to try for implant surgery. Here in the UK funding for this type of procedure has to be approved. Well I have been APPROVED!!! and am now on the waiting list for implant surgery. I haven’t managed to find out how long the waiting list is yet but...

Re: Just saying Hi from Scotland :)

Welcome and it's good to see a fellow Brit here.

Lots of very informed people on here and plenty of info and support.

Have good look round you'll find things you did not even know you needed.

UK Only

Hi

Anyone from the UK - I would really like to talk to anyone from the UK who has had or is in the process of getting an implant.

My issue is mainly to do with NHS funding and GP referal.

Extract from post in Implant Section

Extract from another post - any ideas? Now the bad – I just happened to mention the ache I was getting with the Caverject Injections. “I used to use something called Papaverine Hydrochloride years ago, good results and no pain” he said. “You could use that until the surgery”. “Great lets try it” I s...

Re: UK - Brush of from the Urologist - maybe

Not sure if this is best in implants or injections, will put with my previous post but please feel free to move if better elsewhere. Well the visit to the Urologist about an implant was a bit good and a bit of bad…. First the good – he says can do the implant and he prefers to use the AMS 700 Implan...

Re: UK - Brush of from the Urologist - maybe

I have my appointment with another Urologist tomorrow to start discussing implant surgery. My urologist is not sure if this one can or does implant surgery - slightly different way of doing things here in the UK - still it's stage 1

Will let you know how it goes.

Re: Caverject pains?

Hi

I’m also in the UK and have been using Caverject Dual Chamber for a few months now. The pain from the needle is slight, take it steady use the points at 10-2 and you’ll be fine.

Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

UK - Brush of from the Urologist - maybe

Hi all I have just been to see my Urology consultant to start the process off having implant surgery. He has told me that because of the surgery I had for pc originally (Open Rp. I have a 5” or so scar on my stomach) he does not think I will not be able to have implant surgery. Has anyone else got a...
