Re: Width of implant tubes

From what I can find on the net, there's no real difference in cylinder diameters. According to the AMS 700 Operating Room Manual, the LGX and CX cylinders have a max diameter of 12-18mm, while the CXR uses smaller cylinders of 9.5-14.5 mm. The Coloplast Titan is not so well documented, but most sit...

Re: My progress

Deflating some when bending down? That's a new one on me. Most pumps have a one way valve, so if you're inflated, it should' deflate without pushing something. You may just be experiencing a shift of the saline as you bend the shaft, making it feel like it's deflating. If it doesn't change when you ...

Re: My progress

I'm about a month ahead of you, and your progress seems pretty normal to me. I still get the "burning" when I pump up all the way, and in the same place. Doc says it is simply the tissue stretching to accommodate the additional size from the additional fluid being pumped in and is perfectl...

Re: The Va

Yes. Had mine done at the VA in Dallas recently. My wife has turned into a 22 year old nympho who can't keep her hands off, which is not bad at all, as we've been married for quite a while, and are in our 60s. Recommendations: VA seems to prefer Titan, which works well, but ask LOTS of questions and...

Re: Finally got it done!

17 Oct 2014 Had my 6 week check. Passed with no problems. I'm still a bit sore each time I pump it up, but that gets less each time. Strange as it might seem, I am about 1/2" longer than before the surgery, as measured against the results from using a pump. Girth, however, is 1/2" less, bu...

Re: Implant and Age

My wife (tried to) remain neutral, also saying not to do it for her. Now that it's done and she's tried it out a few times, she keeps saying "thank you for having it done." 'Nuff said!

Re: Finally got it done!

19 Sep Spent all day on my feet (working) with no discomfort and no ill effects. I all but forgot the implant was there. 22 Sep Went in for my "two-week" check today. It was really just a wound check. The good news is that everything is proceeding "textbook" still, with absolutel...

Finally got it done!

It took a few days to get authorized for the board, but I'm determined to record my progress here, as reading your previous posts was a great help for me. I was implanted with a Coloplast Titan (20cm + 2cm extension) on 4 Sep 2014 at the VA hospital in Dallas. Part of the reason for that was cost, p...
