Starting my Journey

Postby JohnThomas » Mon Feb 12, 2018 2:45 pm

Hi

just thought I would introduce myself, as I have been reading the contributions to this forum over the past months as I considered going for an implant.

After consultation with urologists, decision has now been made and I hope to get a Coloplast Titan in 7 or 8 weeks time.

I supopose one of my outstanding question is how easy or difficult it is to engage in masturbation / foreplay with an imnplant?

Any other personal experiences welcome particularly about anything helpful in the preparation for the op, or recovery, over and above what I have read here

Many thanks
J

John,
One of the most difficult parts for me was just arriving at the decision to move forward with the implant. Now that you have passed that hurdle you can focus on preparing for and recovering from surgery.

If you are at all concerned about your penis size, many guys use pumps and do stretching exercises before surgery to maximize their post-op size potential. I would advise to keep doing whatever you can sexually. My doctor said “use it or lose it. He told me my penis would atrophy if I left it idle. Even when I only had a limp noodle to use, I masturbated every day.

I am getting close to 5 months post-op. My wife and I are back to enjoying sex 3-4 times a week and I jack off every day, even when we have sex. So, yes you can masturbate with an implant. For me the implant is providing me with great sensations I have ‘t felt in years and the same goes for my wife. I am sending her over the edge like I did when we were young.

Best wishes,
Greg
I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

John-you are doing the right thing. I will be implanted April/May. I've had ed since 2005! But didn't know about implants as well as Franktalk.

Going between nervous and excited. Mostly excited at this point. Excited until I get to surgical center LOL.
Implanted with Titan 1/15/19 with Dr. Eid.

Welcome J!

I joined the bionic brotherhood very recently.
So recently I actually haven't inflated yet lol.
I had peno-scrotal surgery so I did not have any sensitivity loss.(infra-pubic has higher risk of sensation loss)
In fact I think the chubbiness from the cylinders actually heightens my shaft sensitivity.

I've been able to successfully masturbate without inflating the prosthesis.
My glans can still get engorged too which I was happy to retain.
So foreplay and masturbation is certainly a possibility for you post op.
Of course mileage does vary. Having a skilled surgeon is important.
The overall condition of your penile tissue is important too.

If you have any pre-existing conditions like peyronies or shrinkage due to atrophy, VED pumping before your surgery is a good idea.
My doctor said it can help regain SOME length. Usually nothing more than .15 to .25 of an inch. But still may be worth looking into.

Keep us posted on how things go and let us know if you have any other questions before your big day!!!

Cheers

Thanks for the comments.

Yes now that I have made a decision, a lot of the shall I / Shall I not / shall I but not yet / type of decision anxiety has gone, and the future benefits outweigh the anxiety of an op on your cock ( I am fortunate in that so far in my life I have never had to have any surgery at all).

And yes I am a great believer in use it or lose it too, so will continue with daily Cialis and Citrulline to maximise nitric oxide up until the op (they make the cock fuller, but not hard enough anymore to sustain decent intercourse - hence the implant).

I have now received the name of my anesthetist and a confirmed date for the op, so I am focussing on the future benefits rather than the short term pain, and just hoping that it all goes well with no complications or risk.

I will post my experiences of the op and recovery as and when it happens

Best wishes to all especially those who are making the decision or shortly having the op
