I have made the decision for an implant

Postby chas5344 » Fri Nov 03, 2017 11:53 am

D-day is November 8, 2017. I have gone thru the usual processes of pills, vacuum pump, injections and have finally arrived at the decision to have an implant. This decision was after numerous conversations with my urologist and asking numerous questions. He will be implanting an AMS LGX. He has used both Titan and AMS and has determined that the AMS LGX will be best for me. I am looking forward to this. My partner (13 years younger) is also happy with my decision as he and I have not been able to have sex for sometime. That is very disappointing. I will post my experiences going forward. My doc is Mathew Perry at Florida Urology. Surgery to be done at Doctor's Hospital, Sarasota, FL.
Age 65: Had BPH corrected by PVP Green Light TURP in February 2012. Difficulties with ED since about 2005. Live in Sarasota, FL. Gay male in monogamous relationship since 1997.

I'm in North Port, FL just a few miles south of you. Is Dr. Perry planning to do an infrapubic or a penoscrotal surgery? I found flights (TPA to BWI) on Spirit for as low as $85 round trip! Keep us informed regarding your progress.
Age 72, wife is 52. 20+1 cm Titan Touch implanted by Dr. Kramer on 18 October 2017. Revision to AMS LGX 21+2 cm on 11 June 2018 by Dr. Carrion at Tampa General. Age-related ED + slight Peyronies bend (left) and slight hourglass in the center.

Hello all.

I joined the brotherhood this morning!
So far so good. I have follow up Monday. Will report more details then.
updated: 70 y.o., implanted with titan nov. 3 by Dr. Brady in orlando to correct peyronies. 20 cm with 3 cm RTEs. due to the severity of the peyronies, some internal excisions were made scrotally, recovery will probably take a little longer.

Nudist,
Welcome to the club. Donnie's right, just rest and heal. And if you can find a way to get an extra dose of patience, go for it. Everything from here on out takes time, and I know how easy it is to be in a hurry.
Enjoy the hard times ahead! ;)
