Hey Rob,

Good luck with your implant. The reason I was inactive for the past few days is because they were uneventful. Things are going great actually.
I'm looking forward to your thread, would love to see the experiences of other implantees, and compare their journey with mine.

Continuing with my journey:

June 27th (4th day after surgery) - June 31st

Not too much to say for these days, other than that I was recovering pretty well. The swelling was going down with each, and there's almost no swelling now.

I was supposed to have 3 warm baths per day, soaking it apparently helps with recovery. Since I didn't have a bath in my current hotel - only a shower, I called one of Dr. Eid's nurses and she said to use a heating pad instead. I bought a heating pad from a nearby Walgreens and started doing as instructed.

I only had occasional discomfort. The area in the scrotum where I was operated on would occasionally start hurting, so I'd take medication when necessary. This usually happened when I was walking too much, so I decided to take it easy and relax a bit more.

It sucked that I was still not allowed to sit - not sure 100% why, but I think this might move the pump or some other parts. So I was instructed to not sit at all. I could stand, walk or lay down, so it wasn't too bad. But it did kinda suck that I wasn't able to sit down at a restaurant and enjoy a meal. I was feasting on delivery sushi and other stuff a lot!

July 1st - 1 week post OP - appointment with Dr. Eid and first pumping up

This was a huge day for me. I was meeting Dr. Eid for a post-surgery 1 week checkup. First, one of the nurses did a blood pressure check, and a bladder check, both of which were fine. Then Dr. Eid examiend me. He said that he is very happy with the way things turned out to be, and that I'm recovering pretty well and pretty fast. He also said that he's not seeing any signs or indicators of an infection

He pumped me up, and I was very happy with what I saw. The size looked good and the rigidity was great. It did hurt a lot the first time I was pumped up.

He then told me to test things out myself. Pump it out a few times, then deflate it, to see if I can operate this thing properly. I read a lot about people not being able to pump or deflate at the beginning - even later than me (a month or so after surgery). I was concerned that I'll have trouble. The pump was indeed a bit hard but once experimented a bit I found a good way to pump it, and I was able to pump it up with little effort. The deflation is also a bit tricky but I got the hang of it. To deflate you need to press the deflation button once (not to hold it), and squeeze your penis gently while this is happening. I was relieved with this since I've heard that a lot of people had trouble pumping up the first few times. Dr. Eid said that the pump will get much softer with time, and pumping would be much easier.

The only concern here is that the penis had an upward curve pre-op and still has one post-op, which is not ideal for an implant - but should work without a problem. Dr. Eid gave me an option presurgery - a slightly shorter implant (1cm shorter) and perfectly straight penis, or a curved penis with a larger implant. The first option would mean that I would lose a bit of size which I was not too keen on, so I said that he should go as big as possible.

Regarding this, Dr. Eid said that will regular pumping and cycling the penis should straighten itself out. The implant should overpower the curvature with time.

To avoid any confusion - I'm thrilled with the hardness and overall erection, there's nothing wrong with it and it seems to be great. Hopefully the curvature will fix itself with time for an even more visually appealing penis.

Impressions of the erection, comparison to pre-op:
I don't think anyone would be able to tell I have an implant. This thing is totally stealth. The erection looks a bit different than what I had pre-op, but still looks very natural both to the eye, and to the touch. I don't think anyone could tell that there are cylinders inside.

Pre-surgery the erection was a bit rounder, while post-surgery is a bit flatter but wider. However, this was an erection with no stimulation. After experimenting a bit at home, I found that with stimulation the bottom part of the penis gets hard and stick out.

I was instructed to start pumping by myself the following day, and leave the penis pumped for at least 10 minutes. I was both excited and anxious about this.

July 2nd - Pumping it up by myself, more measurements, and testing it out

I was nervous to pump it up by myself, since I was afraid I won't be able to deflate properly and be stuck with an erection that would hurt.
I was concerned that the erection would hurt to much, so I preemptively took some pain meds first.

It did hurt a bit when I was pumping it but not too much. When I was trying it out at the doctors office yesterday the pump would slip and it would hurt.

Today, I used a tight two hand grip, and utilized both thumbs and it didn't slip. The pump was hard so it took a bit of effort to pump it up, and I ended up a great looking erection.

I was fascinated seeing my hard penis, without it going down. Pre-op I was used to it being hard for just a bit, but it would always go down.

So I said let's give this thing a try by gently masturbating. I was not sure if I was supposed to do this at this stage, but I figured it won't do any damage as long as I'm gentle.

Masturbating felt amazing. It felt much better than masturbating pre-op. I don't know if this is because I've been out of action for some time due to the surgery so I was extra sensitive, but it felt great. The sensitivity and sensation was better than pre-op. I was able to ejaculate a hefty load, so that part worked properly as well.

I noticed that the shape and size changes as you get aroused, it gets a bit bigger as well as the head swells up.

I was able to measure at 6.50 to 6.75 inches pumped up. Pre-op I was measuring at 6.75 to 7.25.
So I'm very pleased with the size, If I can measure up to 6.75 only 1 week after surgery, I bet it is going to grow in the next 6 months. One of my biggest concerns was waking up with a 4 inch penis post-op like many horror stories I've read, but it seems like Dr. Eid sized me very aggressively and prevented such issues.

Overall, things are looking really well. I've been given the green light for sex in 3 weeks from now -can't wait!

Great writing,Thanks Pockie. Since my Dr onnly does AMS our paths will be interesting indeed.

With you having an implant 3 cm longer than mine "at rest"and a "roughly high 6s maybe 7 inch", presumably bone pressed penis, do you have a much larger flaccid size now, or do you have a lot of your shaft hidden away inside your perineum ?

I'm trying to understand the MATHS differences between us here. (Yes, it's a plural in the non-American world). Maybe closer to geometry, or even geography ???

My flaccid was often 6 inches pre-op. and now it's always that or more, and a very perky, to some eyes no-doubt a semi=erect man.. This is something to get used to for swim trunks, change rooms etc.

So. I'm wondering how you find the Titan, and for street wear, what kind of underwear you pack it into. I have no experience with Titan, but the general impression from my reading is that they are more heavy duty than AMS and as such may not deflate as small as AMS.

I'm doing a lot of walkiing, and can't wait to get back to weights training....

I'm wondering if relative to most other men, my internal penis is only "half the length"and that's why a 21 cm implant, which claims to extend another 4 cm (hopefully) works for me. Measuring internal penis length would be a guessing game, but I'll have a go.

I can feel the ends of my implant tubes, and with my flaccid up on my abdomeen, it's around 80mm. a bit more than 3 inches, to the pubic bone. from where I would measure a Bone Pressed penis measurement. That leaves only 13 cm + 4 stretch = 17 for my 21 cm plus shaft and glans (from which maybe 2 cm needs to be subtracted for adequate glans cushioning. 17 cm in a 19 cm space ?

I know this is highly personal and all that but I'm just trying to see my Dr's logic. He wouldn't have me cycling yet, but yesterday's trial was totally successful except for flaccid floppy head syndrome. so I'll do it again today.

As far as the way it looks flaccid, I would say it's not as flaccid as a real non-implanted flaccid. Flaccid now is like I'm having a 30% natural erection. I'm having no issues with street wear at all. However, I'm currently only wearing it with a tight jockstrap due to doctors orders, because it must be pointing up at all times the first few weeks after surgery. I'll update my impressions when I'm given the green light to wear loose boxers, and see if it causes any discomfort.

As far the sizing, the doctor told me that every man is different. 24cm might be 7" for someone, 21cm might be 7" for someone else. There are two measurements taken, one is how far the implant goes inside you, and the other one is the capacity of your penis. Both these numbers are added. So if 4cm go inside you and your penis is 17cm, the implant would be 21cm, and you should be 17cm long. My strethed flaccid was almost the same as my erect length pre-surgery
So this depends greatly on the way your body is build.

Question Pockie. If you wish p.m. me if you do not want to post. I just read Milam who is only 7 hour drive from me is no longer doing implants. Eid's office told me taxi fare would be $45 each way, 7 days in a motel would run about $3500, pre surgery testing not covered by insurance since some law says there has to be more hours between test and surgery than Eid schedules, then airfare for my wife and I. Where did you stay, how much, what about transpo? I thought I read you said all total less than $1000. Is that right? 3 years and 15 docs trying to get an implant and now it looks like I have to look at the more expensive option behind door number two. Thanks for any suggestions. d

Hello Alibaba,

Those numbers seem very high.

If you want to spend as little as possible, you can rent a whole apartment on AirBnb for less than $1000 for a 7 day stay.
Here are a few examples:
https://www.airbnb.com/s/Upper-East-Sid ... d=urjy24go

There are a few studios that go for $800 per week. All these apartments are within a walking distance from Dr. Eid's office.

I think the better option would be to get a room at the Bentley hotel - it's around $200 per night, and it's a decent semi-luxurious four star hotel. It's not some kind of a motel. I don't know what kind of $3500 motel you're referring to, that's $500 a day, and for that kind of money you can book a five star hotel in NYC.

The Bentley hotel is located on the upper east side of Manhattan.
More info here:
http://www.amoma.com/hotel.php?id=92433 ... &tar=11111

This would set you back $1500 for 1 week stay. This is pretty reasonable consdering it's NYC. Going from JFK to the Hotel and back would be 2 x $45 = $90

The reason why I chose the Bentley hotel is that it is across the street from Dr. Eid's office. It's literally a 100 yards away from Dr. Eid's office. So you won't have to pay an extra cab fare to visit him. And if you need any help you can just walk across the street to his office. Dr. Eid is not always there, but his assistants and nurses are very knowledgeable and would be able to help you. You'd be pretty beat up after the surgery, so being in the comfort of a hotel is better than a crummy apartment.

The clinic where the surgery is done is also pretty close, located on the upper east side. I walked there, it was about 12 blocks away, took me 15 minutes by foot.
If you're there alone, another cost would be the chaperone cost. You are obliged by law to have a chaperone escort you from the clinic to your hotel/apartment after surgery, and you'll be in a taxi. The taxi ride from the clinic to the Bentley hotel is about $10-$15, while the chaperone is around $50 to $100.

Buying all the necessary medications would be in the $100 to $200 range.

Basically:
$1500 hotel
$100 Cab (from and to the airport + post surgery cab)
$150 Meds (less if they're covered under insurance)
$100 Chaperone
$150 food (assuming you're spending around $20 daily on food)
------
TOTAL : 2000

Now, if you choose to go for the cheaper apartment accommodation, the accommodation cost would be around $800 instead of $1500, so you'll be at $1300 total.

If you want to go the cheapest route, you can get a private room within an apartment where someone else is living in, rather an a whole apartment. This costs around $80 per night in the area where Dr. Eid's office is, which would be around $560 for the whole week, and you overall cost would be under $1000.

However, do not do this. You'll be with a catheter all bruised up, and you'll need to be in the most comfortable possible spot. Splurge a little and just get a room at the bentley hotel, I strongly recommend it, since many of those airbnb apartments are crappy and are usually walk-ups you'd have to walk a set of stairs.

Here are a few examples of available rooms for rent within an apartment:
https://www.airbnb.com/s/Upper-East-Sid ... d=urjy24go

Let me know if you need any extra info.

I'd just consider using Andrew Kramer at Maryland- tremendous volume, as high or higher than Eids. Not nearly as complicated as far as long term catheter, big new york expenses. Do a little research and consider that as an option. Garber may be in the equation too I believe.
