Length

Postby antman90 » Wed Apr 18, 2018 5:11 am

Hey guys I know this question has been asked a million times. Why do a lot of guys experience length loss after surgery??? It doesn't make sense to me at all. Are the cylinders not expandable enough in comparison to our natural erection chambers ? Even guys who have gone to the top surgeons have experienced some length loss. depending on the quality of my erection and gland swelling.. I am 6 to 6.5 inches.... i would hate to lose any length... I know I gotta sacrifice some length most likely but I would hate it. Also I want a titan because it' gets stiffer and I wouldn't mind having a larger flaccid. But I know the titan does not expand in length like the LGX. I know at the end of the day what matters is having a functioning dick... but I can't imagine losing a couple of inches and ending up with a 4 inch dick. No offense to the smaller guys out there. This is especially important to me as I am single.

Much written about this.
At 63 I am very happy to be a little over 7” erect and very girthy. I was worried immediately after my surgery, but come on...it’s not a penis enlarging procedure it’s a reliability fix.
I think most guys end up with the same length they were before the operation, ie the limp stretch test.....it just takes a while for everything to settle in.
I have ended up about 3/4 inch longer than I was straight after surgery, but girth is the big winner.
Perhaps it’s the Titan combined with cycling and usage.
68,Titan Touch 22cm+1.5cm rte's op done in Melbourne Aust by Dr Chris Love-Feb 2017 Venous leakage over a 2 year period, did pills and Caverject. Length@ 3 1/2years is: 7+” erect, 6.5” flaccid and almost 6” girth. REZUM Feb 21 ejaculation now normal.

The guys that have experienced length loss have not done so as a result of surgery. When you get ED your dick starts to atrophy as a result of not having an erection over a certain length of time. I saw a paper written by one of the surgeons that said using a VED or implant immediately after ED sets in will prevent this. He also said that a lot of men don't know how to properly measure and are inconsistent. Finally, he says that a lot of men are quoting the size they were years ago and hadn't measured in years until after surgery. :)

Antman,
To Larry’s point, I lost 2” from age 50 to 60 as a result of having my Prostate removed, long term ED allowing my dick to atrophy, and it is common as men age. My size from 16-50 was 5” ssoftand 6.5” hard. Before the implant my soft size was 2” at best and often it was totally retracted. My erect length was down to 4.5”.

Today marks 7 months post-op and my unpumped size is 5” and fully pumped is 6”. If I never gain a fraction more, I am ecstatic to have a functioning dick and the ability to satisfy my wife and myself in bed. My doc still believes my LGX will expand some with time and use. Some guys have referenced it taking a year or two. So my size has surpassed pre-implant length and I am well on my way to recapturing my natural size before all the issues.

From everything I have read I think maintaining pre-implant length is the norm these days opposed to in the past. There are situations when there are issues preventing those results, but it goes back to making a choice between a penis that fails you and will likely decrease in size as you age or get an implant that works every time and probably end up the same size or better, but realize you could possibly loose a little length. If you look at signature here it seems it is relatively common that en who get a new implant when the first one wears out often get a larger size the second time.

I think I have mentioned in another comment to you that it is great to do your research and ask all these questions, but until your frustration with your natural penis outweighs your fear of the unknown with an implant, you are not ready for it. For me there came a day when I was so tired of all the issues and the work it took for my wife and I to try to have sex that ended up not even being good that I reached the tipping point when I didn’t care what size I ended up with, I just wanted it to work.

You are right Greg... perhaps I am not ready at this precise moment. But seeing that all my symptoms point toward me having a venous leak... an implant seems like the route I am going to have to take. I don't really see myself dating while talking viagra .. it just sucks .. the headaches the flushing... the feeling like shit the next day... just to get a Boner for a limited amount of time. The fact that having an implant lets you fuk A women for as long as you want sounds so appealing. Who wouldn't want that?? If I can keep my size and be guaranteed that my implant will last 15-20 years... I would do this in a heartbeat no doubt about it. But I know beggers can't be choosers and we have to make sacrifices. It just sucks to be making these decisions at such a young age... an age where I'm suppose to be having the time of my life ... Enjoying it to the fullest ... I'm over here going thru a divorce in part because of this fuking ED problem. A lot of you guys are married and have had the great support of your spouses.. but for the single guys I'm sure you can relate how much it sucks to have to go through something like this alone. It has completely ruined me as a person and I'm sick of it. Once I get to the root of the cause of my ED... which I'm 90% sure it's vascular.. I will feel more confident in going forward with the surgery. Until then, I will gain knowledge from this forum. Thanks guys.

Anthony,
I truly empathize with your situation. My ED started at age 30 so I was not much older than you. Unfortunately, it took 28 years and going to doctor after doctor to find the right one who cared enough and knew enough to help me. I pray you find help sooner.

Just some info to add. In my younger years I was over 6.5 and would go to 7 just before I climaxed. I was really girthy below the glands and narrow at the base. Under max ved or with meds or injection I could get really close to this but was not firm enough or lasted long enough.

I am 4 weeks post op with my LGX and can only max to about 5.5. 5.25 will be most likely what I will have to use for sex to start with. I went in to surgery with the hope of at least 6. I would be ok with average size of 5.75. And really happy with 6.25 to 6.5. I have time to gain and of course years down the road for a revision that will hopefully be even closer to my size of yester year. I have not figured out why that right before my surgery I was over 6 with trimix or ved and am now under by almost 1". But when I started with the implant I told myself I would not judge for a year. I am really girthy at the base of the shaft now and was also with ved use before surgery. So my structure has changed. I wish I would have had the surgery years ago so now I would be approaching revision time and maybe get 100% back. I have talked to and seen posts from others here that are now even slightly longer than they ever were.

If I could go back in time knowing what I do now and do this over again, I would have found a very good doctor early and had all the tests done. Then made a plan with that doctor. When I started to loose size or found damage I would have moved on to surgery with a really good surgeon. This is easy for me to write now but as we all know things are much easier said than done.

Best of luck to you in this. I hope it helps in some way. Take care.

antman90, have you tried Trimix? Before getting an implant at 27 I would make sure you exhaust all options. Once implanted you can NEVER get a natural erection. Although I am only 6 weeks post opp and don't have the experience most have on here with the implant, I would make sure you try everything before going under the knife. I'm happy with mine so far other than I have lost length and girth but am hopeful that it will come back with time

Suffered with ED for most of my life. Viagra then to Trimix then implanted 3/8/2018 with AMX 700 CX 21cm with 1cm RTE. 50 years old Urolift procedure performed 30 day prior to my implant surgery.

Hey buddy , I am single right now ... and having to deal with injections seems like a huge painful ordeal. The planning ... risk of peyronies.. possible ending up with a priapism. Perhaps if I was in a stable relationship I would consider it. Pills... mostly viagra still give me an erection suitable enough for sex... but I hate the side effects. If I can find a girl who is willing to be with me while I use pills .. I wouldn't mind using them.... but idk what are the odds of that. I'm leaning more towards an implant... but I won't make that decision until I get a penile Doppler done to see wtf is going on with my plumbing.
