I was seen 7 days after my operation by the nurse specialist whom I had met during my initial surgeon consultation and who had deflated me after the operation whilst in hospital. She told me I was healing well, that the pump was ideally placed central and low and that I should gently pull down to keep it there. I was told to leave the implant alone until activation 5 weeks after the operation and answered all my questions.

I still have no pain, just minor discomfort sometimes because my ball sack has more in it than I am used to. Uninflated the tips of my implant appear to be about half way into my glans and seem to support the head well. I will know for sure after activation.

At no point do I feel that going private could have given me better care and attention or a better outcome thus far. Some people criticise our NHS system but as a 20 year diabetic and now an implantee I cannot fault the care and support I have received over the years. A health system that is universal and takes no account of ability to pay is a great privilege. Moreover, the option to go private with or without insurance is still available if you feel you need it.

I agree with this. The only benefit is normally getting an earlier appointment and the level of communication/flexibility in being able to speak to your physician etc. Ralph and Muneer are both private and NHS, so the same surgeon would be doing the procedure anyway

So I have booked a private consultation with Dr Garaffa at london andrology. He is supposed to be europes highest implant surgeon and after doing some research he seems to do alot of extremely advanced penile reconstruction and implants. I will see him on Tuesday for my second opinion about cylinders. I am not sure based upon what he says if I should go back to my original surgeon and demand he do a revision or just pay out over £10,000 for it to be done privately.. and hopefully correct?
29 years old. Suffered with ED since 17. No known cause. First Implanted date 23/3/2018. Cylinders way too short and revised by different surgeon 2019. 22cm titan.

I would carefully create a script of your concerns and the answers you seek. Remembering they all work together. Care must be taken to ensure you are not ganged up on. I would ask him that very question - “are you able to comment without my fears you are all too close”.

WOW, I would be insisting he fix it and if he screws it up again, report his ass the the College of Surgeons. I doubt he would be holding a scalpel in one hand and a grudge in the other because, he knows that he can lose his license if he screws up. :)

Good luck Ruktitan. I think Spikepork's suggestions are good

That’s great getting another opinion. I’ve known about several accounts where implant surgeons screwed up and deny it. They claim nothing is wrong. So brace yourself just in case your surgeon does the same.

Yeah I feel like this might be the case for me. I felt like he immediately dismissed my thoughts about undersizing as if he could never make a mistake and blamed it on just the way my penis it. But having no scar tissue or injury or illness there is no reason why they should be short.

Last night I was also with a girl who knew I had a 'prostate' operation and she felt my flacid but kindof of hard penis and said oh hello. She said does it hurt? And I replied abit but its okay. So i went to the toilet and pumped up for the first time with a girl. Came back and she gently began to play with me.. she then goes oh are you okay? As she bent the whole tip of my penis. Thinking that I wasnt able to get hard.
So ive just been implanted with a device to without fail produce an erection.. and the girl im with thinks I cant get an erection because the whole end is flopping about. So I said actually it really hurts can we stop. Back to embarressment and frustration again.. I need answers asap
