What does Activation mean

I am 10 days postop and have my follow up appointment on Thursday. I've been instructed to pull down on my pump to make sure I can feel the release button. When feeling around I must have pressed it because I heard (or felt) a short release of the saline back to the reservoir. I was going to give my pump a squeeze or two but it was just too hard for me to squeeze and I remember my Dr. saying not to pump until activated. What do they do when they activate you? Is it something they do with the device or is it just saying "ok not you can pump"? BTW my surgeon says that I will be able to pump and use it 6 - 8 weeks from surgery.

Activation is just the first time the implant gets pumped up and then deflated. Docs would prefer that they are there for the first time, and from what I gather, most docs want to be the ones to do it, to show you how.

He should have you start cycling before he clears you for sex. Depending on how you are healing and your Dr. He may have you start at your next appointment

I was left about 60% inflated. That stiffie nearly drove me crazy! I felt the deflate button but was afraid to mess with it. One night I dreamed I deflated my dick. I woke up and it was down but I didn't try to pump it up. I was fucking 28 days after my flawless surgery.
