Smoking cigarettes

Postby Dared24 » Fri Feb 23, 2018 9:19 pm

How bad is it? Will it compromise my ability to gain back size?

As you no doubt know, smoking is bad for just about everything, and people regularly die from it. In addition, it makes you smell terrible, which doesn't do much to make you attractive to others. I don't know if it will have any effect on your size, but even if it doesn't you shouldn't do it.

Smoking affects your blood flow, so yes, it is linked to ED.
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.

smoking is the worst thing you can do to your body; and some implant surgeons will not operate on you if you are still smoking (because those who smoke do not heal very well)

I am over 5 weeks post operation. I thought I would be fully healed so no need to worry. The stitches have disappeared and the incision fully healed up. What do you think?

Dared,
Just the fact that you are worried about the possibility that cigarettes may be a problem to your penis seems to be a strong reason to want to quit. I know FT is topics about our penises, but hopefully you are equally concerned about your lungs, respiratory system, etc.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

I see your point and of course I know it is terrible for me. I am an ex smoker and dipper and I’ve been quit for four years now. I’m going through a rough stretch emotionally and looking for something to give me a pick me up. I feel with the implant already installed and being 5 and healed the risk of E.D. is effectively gone. Perhaps this is the wrong way to look at it.

My main concern is that it is healed. Like I said it’s been 5 and a half weeks post surgery and the incision is fully healed but I wanted to check in with people who have gone through the process of healing from the surgery to make sure it’s ok.

The risk of ED might be gone but there is the risk of heart attack, stroke and cancer certainly is not. Just imagine having a serious stroke that doesn't kill you... you sit in a chair, drooling all day, horney as a teenager but even with the implant can't do anything about it. :(

Or, like in my case, have a stroke that doesn't kill you but leaves you with symptoms that impair your functioning, wreck your life, and completely wipe out your libido so your implant is useless to you.
