Day 5 and newer updates will be in the comments ;)

Day 4

I didn't take any pain meds before bed and slept from about 1130pm til about 7am.
Got up at 8, had a pee took tylenol and went back to bed til about 9-10.

Felt a bit painful this morning in the shaft. The discomfort behind the abdomen has lessened though which is nice.
Feeling the pump each day helps me keep it in front while I heal.

Got a call from my surgeon's nurse to respond to the questions I sent them a day ago.
My implant is 20cm with a 1.5rte doing a little math that's about 5.5 inches I should see in my shaft.
Which is perfect actually! I was about 5.5/6 inches normally so I won't see much difference pre and post length wise.
I CAN tell however that my girth is bigger when deflated. Gonna love seeing the thickness when I'm fully pumped.

Today was another relaxing one.
Laid around watching netflix. Did some laundry. Showered.

Healing is going well.
Any questions just ask.

Cheers!

Day 3

Definitely more sore around the shaft but still not bad.
Taking a shower felt AMAZING.
Gently soaped everything up but didn't scrub or submerge.
For some reason I thought the ballsack would hurt more.
Maybe that's to come, but so far it's mostly been abdomen and shaft uncomfortableness
Not so much pain as it is my body going WHOA WHAT IS THIS STUFF!?

I have alarms set for my medication, now I'm just taking it easy watching movies.
I have a bag of meal replacement shakes that will get me all the nutrients I need to heal up
and the shakes will keep me regular which is important to keep from straining a constipated BM.

Early update since I was feeling good after my shower.
Will probably update again on Sunday perhaps or if anything changes like pain levels etc.

If anyone has questions let me know here or in a PM

Cheers guys!

Day 2

Quick Question: Is this the best way to do this you think? Update the original post? Or is it better to post a new comment with each update?

I don't expect to keep a complete daily journal but thought I'd note that I made it home!
Passed the bladder evacuation test so didn't need the catheter anymore.
Talk about one of the worst feelings EVER getting that sucked pulled out holy shit.

I get severely dizzy and nauseated with oxy and the like. vicodin codein etc.
I would rather feel pain than be crawling on the floor puking.
So I'm sticking to the 650mg of tylenol for the next week or so.
(maybe oxy for sleep tho)

The pain is really not much (so far).
I can feel the reservoir behind my abdomen to the right side.
It's more of an achy feeling than anything.
Makes me nervous to sit up without using my arms wonder if I should baby it or move normally.
The pump sits in front of and below my nuts. Surgeon suggested I feel for it daily but not to rummage too hard at first if there's swelling and tenderness.
There wasn't any pain or tenderness yet.

My Doctor didn't get a chance to come talk to me afterwards which was a bummer.
So I don't know the size of the implant he used. I will be messaging him tonight about that info.
I'm not exactly concerned about size now(it looks great to me!) but would like to know for my signature ;)

Anyway, let's see ya discharged at about 1pm, had some Indian food, had two hard number 2's
probably constipation from the anesthesia but I didn't force it too much. Just steady pressure so it took longer.
Felt like giving birth.

Sorry that's likely TMI lmao.

Implant-wise I will say it definitely doesn't hang like a limp dick(of course). The cylinders are new and quite firm. I find with my boxer briefs I can tuck it to the right a bit so it only pokes out a little bit...
Will have to see how tighter jeans work, lol may have to go shopping soon for baggier pants.

Fun side-note I've been super gassy. Maybe from the Indian food but more likely the drugs and hospital food. Lots of wind gusts!

I'm following all the rules listed on my packet. Will use pain meds when necessary (maybe oxy for sleep) but I got 6 hours last night in the hospital which was quite surprising to me.
Antibiotics twice a day, stool softener as needed. No lifting 15lbs, no sex for 6 weeks. I'll get inflated in my visit in 2 weeks. Can't wait to shower tomorrow! and no baths for a while either.

OH I forgot, when the doctor assistant came in to deflate me today, didn't feel any pain when he did that but did notice he had to squeeze to the point of shaking, to get it to deflate.
So there is truth to the fact that new implants have a break-in period. I don't think I could sufficiently squeeze as hard as he did to deflate.

That's all for today!

Cheers

Day 1 Implant Completed!

I still have finger things on in the hospital so I write this brief post on my phone.

But I had to say I'm Bionic!

The "easy" part is over.
Now it's time to heal and adjust to the implant.

Doc says at least 6 weeks for intercourse. I'm not going to push it.
Healing inside and out is #1 priority

This was my first general anesthesia which was awful.
I was dry heaving from the dizziness after surgery from what I'm told.

The nasty side effects wore off about 5 hours after surgery.

Haven't felt the need for pain meds yet but will take the Tylenol 650 when I'm ready to sleep.
Catheter and the other draining tube are uncomfortable.

My dick is partially inflated and from what I feel I do have sensation.
How much is of course yet to be determined.
I can flex the erection and it moves and I feel that.

I'll post more when I have full use of my fingers.
It's an outpatient procedure but my surgeon keeps his patients overnight so they can take the catheter out in the morning.

Everyone at the University of MN hospital has been incredible.
Dr. Bodie answered all questions and sat down to confirm I was ready to make this decision.
He didn't push or stop me. I'm happy and excited for the future.

There are no words to describe how grateful I am for this site and the wonderful contributors here. You have my eternal gratitude.

More updates to come!

Hey Jackhamer,
I hope everything continues to go well for you. If you are like some of us, over the next couple of weeks you are going to know exactly what W.T.F stands for, but I want to assure you that the pain and uncomfortable feelings do pass, and the joy of having a hard, working dick, takes over your thoughts.
I wish you all the best.

Good Luck on your healing process... Everything will go smoothly if you follow you Doctors post op procedures 100%.
As hturner12 indicated, once your dressings have been removed. Make sure you ice, ice, ice. It will be your best friend. Not sure how you feel about pain medication, in the first few days. Try to stay ahead of the pain. Take it as scheduled. You will be home, there is no sense in enduring the pain .
Best of Luck

Jackhammer,
I too want to welcome you to the bionic brotherhood. I hope your healing process is as easy as mine was. When you get a chance please update your signature details to show you now have an implant. It helps when we see your future posts of questions.

Best Wishes,
Greg

Hang in there, man, and a huge congratulations. The first couple days are rough and that catheter ain't the best. It takes some weeks for everything to settle down but the hard part is by far and away over there.
