When to move on to implant

Postby oldbeek » Wed Jan 31, 2018 5:18 pm

Had RP 7-28-17. All my nerves were removed. I think I am starting to have scarring from injections. Feel lumps and a real hard erection leans to the right about5 degrees. My URO says the nerves may reattach some day. I doubt it. AM I pushing the schedule to just get implant now? 76 yr old

If you are experiencing scarring from injections, it’ll just get worse. Get a consultation with a top implant surgeon and take it from there.

If you need an implant, get it sooner than later. Nothing gets better while you wait.

OLd: At your age, (my age) the liklihood of returning to spontaneous erections is nill. Go through the therapies and get an implant as quickly as you can. I got mine at 76 and we could not be happier.

If you decide to get an implant, see if they will check the lesion on the glans as well, at the same time. :)
