Just the incontinence pads have been a trial. The sore gets raw if I do a lot of walking. Some days I bandage it up.( Wish I had my forskin). I am contemplating an implant. If I have it a little pumped as some suggest, I am fearful that it will rub raw. Any suggestions as to which brand implant would be best for my condition? Does one lay better than the other when flaccid?

Make an appointment with a dermatogogist... other doctors are just guessing. Trust me. :)

This is a very bad antibiotic for some folks. It also attacks the immune system in some people. AND it never goes away. My GP sent me to a URO immediately. It bled for a week and the inside of my mouth also bled. I am also seeing a oral surgeon regularly. Now being treated by a dermatologist as well as the URO that did my RP. It is getting better with cream applied every time I urinate. But still there in the background.

Hi oldbeek;
What you are describing is the same thing I have (BXO aka LS) There is no cure yet BUT there are some treatment. If left properly untreated, it gets really inflamed and bleeds and then sex is impossible because the girl juices will feel like you just poured gasoline on it. I am not a doctor... not by a long stretch but, it took me about 45 years to find something that worked. Finally, my doctor found something that works. Ask your DERMATOLOGIST about it.
CLOBETASOL PROPION 0.05%, (at first until it calms down) and then,
KETODERM AND 1% HC POWDER .
This works for me. Keep me posted on how you're doing. :)

Larry,

OK, I get the Clobetasol as that's in the same family as the Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream my doctor prescribed me.

The KETODERM appears to be an anti-fungal, so OK if needed. Maybe like my doctor threw in the Silver Sulfadiazine Cream with me for good measure "just in case something else was going on". It's an antibiotic and kills yeast. I've found it generally unnecessary.

What the heck is 1% HC POWDER???

Didn't think I had a group problem. My GP prescribed several years ago, Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment but dermatologist said that would thin my skin. So he switched me to the other ointment. When erect the glans looked like I only had seran wrap over the blood vessels. Scary. Any amount of vaginal sex and that layer would wear off. Going to ask Derm about the foam. Going to follow through more thoroughly with the Dermatologist. I see him every 3 months for skin pre cancer spots. The problem I have with him is he always has these very young girls in the exam room assisting him. I guess I have to get used to throwing it out there and say look at this. After the implant maybe I will go in with about 10 pumps on it and scare them off. LOL

If your skin is already that thin I doubt the doctor will go for the foam. I think it's actually worse in that respect. The exception to that is that when I use the foam it really kicks the spot(s) back quickly so that I don't use it for as long of a time as I would the other stuff. Also, the foam is very thin and it's easier to put it just where needed where it soaks in or dries. It doesn't tend to spread all over as you go through the day like the creams do. You can't apply the foam directly as being thin it will quickly spread, then it will cover more skin than intended. But I don't think your doc will try it if your skin is already that thin.

Yeah, my dermatologist always has a young female assistant with him. I quit worrying about it. If they're choosing that profession they need to get used to seeing old dicks and sagging wrinkled cod sacks. I imagine they already are.

Good luck

Probably not the best place for this but here it is.

OK, first off this isn't medical advice and I'm sharing just in case you want to bounce this off your doctor.

I was at the primary care doctors off ice the other day for blood work. While waiting I saw a flyer in their flyer rack for a new non-steroidal med for eczema called "Eucrisa". I took the flyer in with me and after the blood draw I asked the tech if they had a sample. After a fair wait and I guess a doctors approval she came back with a small sample tube of the ointment.

The ointment looks to be in a petroleum base. Once home I took a tiny bit and applied it to a small new outbreak of eczema on my chest and a tiny dab on a healthy patch of skin mid shaft on my dick. The next day the tiny new spot of eczema had cleared and there was no adverse reaction on my dick.

OK, I'm now a bit brave so I apply a little to the area of my dick that is having a newer outbreak that is getting red and starting to verge toward raw. Well it burns on that spot but I tough it out as there isn't any visible reaction although I check it frequently.

This is the third day now and the area on my dick has cleared and doesn't burn anymore. Actually it just burned the first time. I've applied two times a day but only applied a very, very tiny amount each time. So little it can't be seen and it leaves me wondering if I got full coverage. My initial impression is that THIS SHIT WORKS! The bad news is that my insurance probably won't cover it as my insurance doesn't cover anything expensive and a tube of this stuff goes for $600 bucks!!!

OK, no one recommended that I use the stuff on my dick, so bear that in mind. None of the literature I could find on the stuff recommends using it on your dick either. I did not consult with a doctor on this and didn't actually see a doctor when I got the sample. Researching the stuff, the major common complaint I found was that it burns. I did experience that to a small degree but nothing that would stop me from using it if it also works. My experience with this stuff has been very brief and may not stand the test of time.

Take the above as you wish. Just don't take it as medical advice. Personally I'm encouraged. But $600 bucks? Really???

Regarding laying better.
The AMS implant has softer cylinders. That look more natural when deflated.
My Coloplast titan is pretty rigid, but will soften over the next year.
You can read all about the differences between Coloplast and AMS ad nauseum on this site
Search for AMS vs Coloplast. You'll see plenty to read.

Cheers!
