Not telling you what to do. If he is not talking to you and answering your questions you may we t to give serious thought to finding a new surgeron. I know you are only a few days away but you are not committed until you sign the authorization the day of. I have heard that backing out day off is not uncommon. What will happen when you have a problem post up.
My surgeon gave me his email my first appointment. Gave me the Patient Educators contact.

I agree with Hugh. If you are having problems already, find a new doc. It may be very worth the wait. :)

After getting appoval from the Veteran's Administration for an implant and getting a surgery date, I elected to wait until I had more information/education on implants, procedures and my Surgeon.

14 months later I now had my implant and am glad I decided to educate myself before proceeding.

Knowing what to expect from the implant, how to prepare myself pre-op and being able to find a Surgeon who both 1) has good depth of experience and 2) with whom I have good rapport was worth the time. I also was able to prepare my penile tissues with a Vacuum Therapy protocol which I truly believe helped.

I agree with the brothers here. You need to be dealing with a surgeon that cares and talks. My surgeon offered free phone consultation, responded to my messages within the day and made me feel that he's always there for me. Remember that you'd need coaching and care to deal with rehabilitation, activation, patient education, God-forbids infection or excessive pain.

Good luck
Matt

The 1st link is broken because it has an extra character at the very beginning of the link. Links 2 and 3 seem to work.

This deeply concerning that you have a surgeon who is not concerned enough about his patients to return a phone call. Did you feel comfortable knowing your Surgeon will not return your call, but is doing your implant....something does not seem right? ..... It's obvious that your not telling us who your surgeon is, that's ok. Perhaps your not really ready and your still researching.... Good Luck
