Having an implant is 28 days old for me and I, for one, would not believe everything you read online. Lots of bogus stories, plus plenty of false information to go around. I am trying to stay positive, but most of my negativity comes from my surgeon not telling me everything plus my pre op info and post op info are totally different. Waiting on my first pump up in a few days. My wife isn't thrilled at all with my decision to go through with this surgery as she thinks its too mechanical and does away with love and feelings, you know women's emotional needs. They need to know that they are desirable to their man. Not being able to provide an erection hurts them just as much as the guy. I am taking it day by day and seeing what this is all about. So far I am not impressed. I am a results person. I was told ONLY to do this as a last resort and was given time to back out and asked several times if I was sure that I wanted the procedure. It is what it is, but one thing that bothers me is that the patient has to put so much time and effort into getting close to what he was, in length, girth, etc. It can take over a year to even achieve that, after all the pain of the surgery, the cost, and the emotional toil it takes on a man's sanity knowing he will never achieve a natural erection again, and his penis with never feel the same. Its a lot to take in and anyone going through this does need a support system. Most of my posts so far have not been very positive, as I do have issues of how my procedure went. They will be answered very shortly in just a few days.

So far, I have stayed out of this but when you talk about "bogus stories online", I certainly hope you are not talking about stories on Frank Talk. The stories here are that of emotional and physical pain, the most intimate private stories that anyone can tell. Many members have posted pictures of their dicks and their faces, if you can't find them, you are not looking where you have been told. Frank Talk is not a porn photo site. Not one single member here has any reason to fabricate or embellish their story. Tell me how Donnie's 7" dick helps or hurts me on the other side of the continent? When you are ready to offer an apology to all of the members you have offended we will each consider it.

Didn’t watch any video, didn’t know about FT
Got it done by the best in Oz
He was 100% correct.....size has improved over 11 months with regular cycling.
Sensation has changed a little.....mental?.....physical?....bit of both maybe.
All I know is that of my bed buddies 1 likes it really stiff and the other 2 prefer it a little more natural.
The reliability allows me to pay much, much more attention to helping them reach their sexual potential.
I have far greater patience than I ever had before and it is liberating.

Hey smetro, good to hear your voice again. We're about the same age - implant speaking. Looks like you're a player again. Hope that's a good thing. My first 6 months were kind of rough due to some complications that were only remotely related to my implant. You were one of the several positive voices that kept me going while I struggled through the rough patches. Your stories and pics, along with many others on ft, gave me hope and something to look forward to. Finally, I'm right there with you, enjoying the hell out of my implant. I was 5.5" flaccid pre and am 6" flaccid post op, so I got even more than I bargained for. My erection is 2 O:Clock, sensations are better than I ever remember. Maybe that's because I now have zero anxiety when it comes to sex. The side effects have been life-altering. My outlook on life has improved, I've lost 15 lbs and my stamina has increased, so I'm able to run, bike, and lift as much as I could 30 years ago.
Reallynow, I can relate to some of your feelings - for the first six months I wasn't that positive and had many wtf moments. I'm sorry the communication with your surgeon has been lacking. Read what the guys here are saying and know that one day, sooner than you think, you'll be saying wow, I never thought it could be this good.

I want to personally thank you all for your understanding and kind comments. Totally new to this but just being able to reach out to guys that are just like me, is a real plus. I don't know everything about this, but going 9 years without intercourse messes with a guys head, literally. I still look like a beast, 6 feet and 250, and still can be very intimidating physically, I didn't feel very manly inside. Not being able to get erect or stay erect or when you cum you are not even hard just broke me down and I said, no more. Tried pills, they never worked. I thought it was me personally, and it wasn't. I tried this as a last resort and I feel in my heart I made the right decision. I pray, as I always do, and keep my chin up and hope this turns out for the best. Not having the support system at home is hurtful, but I am a tough bird. Two straight surgeries, and not even as much as an aspirin for pain. I know, sounds crazy, but I am mindful of anything that doesn't make me in control, and I want to feel pain when something is wrong. I appreciate your posts and comments and hope I can make some friends along this journey.

A lot of men have a "WtF" did I do? moment. Not dissimilar to post-partum depression, I speculate.

Do not think yourself any less "tough" for it. We are all only human. Post implant the only "Superman-like" aspect wil be the obvious one.;)

this is not the time to be superman with the pain. We all deal with it differant. This surgery is alot differant than many others. They took shit out of your dick and stuck non natural stuff in it place, put a forigen object inside your nut sack, ran tubes everywhere, put another forigen object in your lower abdomen area. You are going to have painit should be decreasing if not contact your dr.
If you have ot started cycling yet you will feel pain where the tips are at in the head.

The support system at home fully understand that. My wife was against it. We are not have the wild multi hour sex others have. In fact just 4 times since OCT. I ja k 9ff almost everyday. I am to the point of looking outside

My wife thinks its totally unnatural and calls it my "plastic dick". I really didn't laugh. I don't know what she is going to do when I am cycling it. I am just going to tell her I am playing with my "stuff"...........

Well, if she liked sex before, she may eventually want to join you in playing with your stuff.

Many women think of the implant as the greatest invention since sliced bread (sorry for the unfortunate imagery-I did not author the homily)
