I am 52, and was 51 when I decided to get the implant. It was just the right time. All other options, for different reasons, were not feasible for me.

I think is not so much a function of age, but a matter of current ED status. The combination of many medical factors can make this procedure completely necessary irrespective of age.
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.

Two weeks ago, I was sure that I had traded some problems for different ones. I just couldn't get the thing deflated enough. I'm 4 months out now and according to most people here, and my doc, everything should be coposetic by now.

Two nights ago I finally deflated enough. So my lesson is that it takes time.

alibaba wrote:I regretted my first one. It was a crap install. I wished I never had one as it was much worse than I was before implant. I wish my second one was more comfortable which it may get to be since I am at 7 weeks, and a few things tweaked but I do not regret it at all. It works, I like using it, my wife likes me using it.........

I like the way you said tweaked. Like a car, you know? Haha

What was the secret to getting it toally deflated ? Do you have an AMS or a Titan?

The problem that I was having was that pump never dropped down much. This meant, according to the manufacturer rep I met with that I would need two hands to deflate, one two with fingers to push the pump into position and the other to squeeze. But that meant that I couldn't squeeze my penis while squeezing the button.

Eventually the pump moved enough so I didn't need to push the pump and I could squeeze the button with one hand and squeeze the penis with the other.

Thanks for clearing that up. I totally understand now. I have been able to do that since my activation, even though the button is behind a lot of soft tissue and probably some remaining hematoma. That gurgle sound sure is sweet when you have been pumped up real hard lol.

A suggestion if you haven't already tried it. After you squeeze the cylinders out. keep your thumb and index finger around your shaft and push down on your glans with the other hand. You don't need to stay on the button once it has fully moved to drain position. I have found that this gets a little more saline out of the cylinders and adds to comfort.

I tried, but "latching" the pump only worked for me 1 out of 20 attempts. That's why I was getting so frustrated.

I had my first implant done at 50 years old.. pills, shots.. nothing works. My AMS worked beautifully.. until the tubing wore out (overuse) after 8 years! Now am 4 weeks and recovering from my revision.. back in the saddle again!! And gained a Cm ..from 20 to 21!! My Dr says I am good to 70! We will see. if I overuse it....
The best part was my Dr got me in surgery for the revision within 2 weeks of the tubing failure.. that is good speed !

Three implants, one regret: poor choice of first surgeon..... No other regrets....
