So I have my appointment set to determine if I get the implant march 27th. I live in Canada so I'm most likely getting it done from a local surgeon. I know a lot of you have had success with Kramer and eid. I was just curious is there anyone who has had their implant done by someone other than Kramer and eid and was successful?

There are lots of men here who have had implants done by other surgeons and they report being quite satisfied. There are also quite a few who are quite unhappy with their results.

Dr. Paul Perito in south Florida is mentioned often as a good surgeon. He has an unusual past, though. ;)

There's also a surgeon in Mountain Hills or some such name in California who's highly regarded.

Dr. William Jaffe, Penn Med at University of Pennsylvania He does 5 to 10 a month.
I would look for someone who does a lot of them.

So far, only two respondents have indicated anyrthing about the surgeon except that he had at least one good outcome.

More description would be helpful, such as how many surgeries per year, infection rate, surgical approach (scrotal or infrapubic), how aggresively he/she sizes and other philosophies on surgical approachs, his/her "bedside manner", treatment by the administrative staff, etc.

I know of Dr. Turner in Anchorage, AK, but have only seen one result, which was cosmetically pleasing, functional, but not as aggressively sized as the patient might have desired. I have never talked to Dr T myself, just the one of his patients.

Dr Posey in Anchorage is very willing to discuss his surgical approach and pleasant in conversation. Very reassuring.

Dr Allen in Anchorage is a bit more aggressive in sizing than Dt T or Dr P, but does not have Dr P's willingess to spend time discussing surgical options.

Neither Dr A nor Dr P do more than a handful of implants per year.
