Hey Rob,
Good luck with your implant. The reason I was inactive for the past few days is because they were uneventful. Things are going great actually.
I'm looking forward to your thread, would love to see the experiences of other implantees, and compare their journey with mine.
Continuing with my journey:
June 27th (4th day after surgery) - June 31st
Not too much to say for these days, other than that I was recovering pretty well. The swelling was going down with each, and there's almost no swelling now.
I was supposed to have 3 warm baths per day, soaking it apparently helps with recovery. Since I didn't have a bath in my current hotel - only a shower, I called one of Dr. Eid's nurses and she said to use a heating pad instead. I bought a heating pad from a nearby Walgreens and started doing as instructed.
I only had occasional discomfort. The area in the scrotum where I was operated on would occasionally start hurting, so I'd take medication when necessary. This usually happened when I was walking too much, so I decided to take it easy and relax a bit more.
It sucked that I was still not allowed to sit - not sure 100% why, but I think this might move the pump or some other parts. So I was instructed to not sit at all. I could stand, walk or lay down, so it wasn't too bad. But it did kinda suck that I wasn't able to sit down at a restaurant and enjoy a meal. I was feasting on delivery sushi and other stuff a lot!
July 1st - 1 week post OP - appointment with Dr. Eid and first pumping up
This was a huge day for me. I was meeting Dr. Eid for a post-surgery 1 week checkup. First, one of the nurses did a blood pressure check, and a bladder check, both of which were fine. Then Dr. Eid examiend me. He said that he is very happy with the way things turned out to be, and that I'm recovering pretty well and pretty fast. He also said that he's not seeing any signs or indicators of an infection
He pumped me up, and I was very happy with what I saw. The size looked good and the rigidity was great. It did hurt a lot the first time I was pumped up.
He then told me to test things out myself. Pump it out a few times, then deflate it, to see if I can operate this thing properly. I read a lot about people not being able to pump or deflate at the beginning - even later than me (a month or so after surgery). I was concerned that I'll have trouble. The pump was indeed a bit hard but once experimented a bit I found a good way to pump it, and I was able to pump it up with little effort. The deflation is also a bit tricky but I got the hang of it. To deflate you need to press the deflation button once (not to hold it), and squeeze your penis gently while this is happening. I was relieved with this since I've heard that a lot of people had trouble pumping up the first few times. Dr. Eid said that the pump will get much softer with time, and pumping would be much easier.
The only concern here is that the penis had an upward curve pre-op and still has one post-op, which is not ideal for an implant - but should work without a problem. Dr. Eid gave me an option presurgery - a slightly shorter implant (1cm shorter) and perfectly straight penis, or a curved penis with a larger implant. The first option would mean that I would lose a bit of size which I was not too keen on, so I said that he should go as big as possible.
Regarding this, Dr. Eid said that will regular pumping and cycling the penis should straighten itself out. The implant should overpower the curvature with time.
To avoid any confusion - I'm thrilled with the hardness and overall erection, there's nothing wrong with it and it seems to be great. Hopefully the curvature will fix itself with time for an even more visually appealing penis.
Impressions of the erection, comparison to pre-op:
I don't think anyone would be able to tell I have an implant. This thing is totally stealth. The erection looks a bit different than what I had pre-op, but still looks very natural both to the eye, and to the touch. I don't think anyone could tell that there are cylinders inside.
Pre-surgery the erection was a bit rounder, while post-surgery is a bit flatter but wider. However, this was an erection with no stimulation. After experimenting a bit at home, I found that with stimulation the bottom part of the penis gets hard and stick out.
I was instructed to start pumping by myself the following day, and leave the penis pumped for at least 10 minutes. I was both excited and anxious about this.
July 2nd - Pumping it up by myself, more measurements, and testing it out
I was nervous to pump it up by myself, since I was afraid I won't be able to deflate properly and be stuck with an erection that would hurt.
I was concerned that the erection would hurt to much, so I preemptively took some pain meds first.
It did hurt a bit when I was pumping it but not too much. When I was trying it out at the doctors office yesterday the pump would slip and it would hurt.
Today, I used a tight two hand grip, and utilized both thumbs and it didn't slip. The pump was hard so it took a bit of effort to pump it up, and I ended up a great looking erection.
I was fascinated seeing my hard penis, without it going down. Pre-op I was used to it being hard for just a bit, but it would always go down.
So I said let's give this thing a try by gently masturbating. I was not sure if I was supposed to do this at this stage, but I figured it won't do any damage as long as I'm gentle.
Masturbating felt amazing. It felt much better than masturbating pre-op. I don't know if this is because I've been out of action for some time due to the surgery so I was extra sensitive, but it felt great. The sensitivity and sensation was better than pre-op. I was able to ejaculate a hefty load, so that part worked properly as well.
I noticed that the shape and size changes as you get aroused, it gets a bit bigger as well as the head swells up.
I was able to measure at 6.50 to 6.75 inches pumped up. Pre-op I was measuring at 6.75 to 7.25.
So I'm very pleased with the size, If I can measure up to 6.75 only 1 week after surgery, I bet it is going to grow in the next 6 months. One of my biggest concerns was waking up with a 4 inch penis post-op like many horror stories I've read, but it seems like Dr. Eid sized me very aggressively and prevented such issues.
Overall, things are looking really well. I've been given the green light for sex in 3 weeks from now -can't wait!
