Hey all,

What do the doctors say regarding what you can expect from post-op length? I see a lot of people saying stretched flaccid is the way doctors measure, but I have noticed that the stretched flaccid varies (out of the shower it is smaller than if you are sitting around in the sun) - I definitely have a longer erection than when I stretch flaccidly - Does that not make a difference?

The urologists are pulling your penis extremely hard when they're measuring, much harder than you'd ever pull. Almost to the point of "you're going to rip my penis off", so if your penis is a bit shrunken at the moment it shouldn't cause an issue.

I believe they have a specific technique do ensure they're measuring the max possible stretched length.

It also depends on how good/experienced the urologist is. The more experienced ones know to measure so that they'll get the absolute max stretched length.

What I'm also asking is, why is it stretched flaccid and not your normal erection length?

Also, the pre-surgery measurement is just an estimate. You will be measured internally with great care during surgery to make sure your cylinder length is optimal for your anatomy.

I have always wondered the same question. I can stretch to 4 3/4, maybe 5 but can pump it up to 7 1/4. Still 1 3/4 less than it was 6 years ago. 10 minutes in the pump makes a lot of difference. I doubt the doc is going to play tug the weenie for 10 minutes. a hard weenie that is shorter than your hand is wide raises concerns. d

I'm not sure about how Urologist measure, but in the penis enhancement community your flaccid stretch length is measured by a similar process except we call it 'bone pressed flaccid stretch length' (BPFSL). You find this length by stretching your flaccid penis out as far as it will go, then use a rigid ruler to press into your fat pad, just above your penis base, all the way to the pubic bone (not too hard). Then look at your length in contrast to the ruler. That is your flaccid stretched length.

I appreciate the information jn, but the question here is why the flaccid stretch length is preferred over actual erection measurement. Is it merely that it is difficult to get a full erection measurement in the office, if at all? Or has some study shown that implant length really does correlate to flaccid stretch length rather than actual erection length?

I would imagine it's because it's easy to get a flaccid stretched length on demand. Getting a true erect length - and I mean super, rock-hard, about to explode, erect length is much more difficult to achieve on demand. If it were that easy, there'd be more male porn stars! Getting one in a doctor's office at the very least would require an injection. Meanwhile, stretched flaccid can be achieved on demand.

I think most surgeons give you an "artificial" erection by injection while you're in the operating room. It gives them a truer gauge as to actual erect length and girth. Therefore they get an idea of what they are endeavoring to get a similar result with the implant, and how aggressive they can be when measuring the corpora.

Problem with an artificial erection is we would not need in implant if we could get a proper artificially stimulated one. The size of my penis with 1cc of trimix if by chance it were to get hard is just a hard stretched length of a flacid penis but put a vacuum pump on it and it is much longer and much bigger around. Part of the issue may be if a person is a grower or shower. I understand growers have muscle cells in their shlong that relax allowing it to grow. Dr. Eid says he prefers spinal anesthesia because it allows the muscles to relax and better size placement. I have read studies by other well know docs that say it makes no difference. From what I saw in the studies, they did not segregate growers vs. showers to see if there was a real difference. d
