I agree, be positive not negative! I just got my implant almost two weeks ago after dealing with ED for 20 years, and like others, wish I had done it years ago, even though I have not had the chance to "try it out" yet. However, I am still getting some natural erection both during the day and at night, and yesterday morning my wife played with it and it felt WONDERFUL!!!, which is a big plus. Everyone is different and will have different results, so one should not consider one person's result, good or bad, as cold hard fact. For the last year I had so many failures, going limp at the wrong moment, that I had lost all confidence that I could perform. I have a very strong sex drive, and this problem made me very despondent to the point that I wouldn't even try, we just used vibrators on each other, and after 50 years of great sex, this was not exceptable! I say "GET-ER DONE" before it gets worse!

Also, I’ve done enough research to know that that 20% figure you put out is complete bull.

You’re entitled to your say but I’m here to ask that you stop saying things that aren’t the case for the many and claiming it as a universal, gospel truth.

As for Nocturne,

I am in COMPLETELY the same boat. Cialis works. At the best of times, I’m a fucking rock star but ED, when and if it will fail, they’re always thoughts that are in the back of my mind. I very rarely get morning wood, I can’t keep an erection for masturbation very long without pills, I fear being ‘free’ In the bed and really just letting loose.

Like you, I feel like an implant, if done well, would solve so so much and free me not only in terms of my sex life but across the whole board! Because right now; I’m not reaching my full potential as a human being.

I would say, as I’m doing, really, well and truly consider every possible outcome, get as much information about the implant and your surgeon as possible, have some more sex before you choose to go ahead with it and then if you still feel the same in a few months, I would say go for it.

Life is way too short.

Hey I am just stating the facts. Posts from Smetro who has a really hot babe has a hard time coming inside. Has to jerk off to finish. And she gives blow jobs. Rancherjim who is along the path ahead of me has the same problem and he is using hookers who really know how to get a man off. I am Horney all the time and have feeling in my dick but just have a problem cumming inside. Can't seem to come with a blow job that is mind blowing. Have to jack off to get it done. That is my experience. Have you had an implant yet?? How can you be so knowledgeable?

I’m going by what the vast majority have said, not the few like you. You’re stating things that may be fact for you but are simply not true for the many. Just read the damn posts here in response to your whining.

They say misery loves company but can you please just quit it. Give your own feedback, sure. Moan about the implant you have, okay. But don’t go around saying it’s a bad thing to do because the evidence and anecdotal accounts OVERWHELMINGLY contradict you.

So please, again, just stop!

Yes Oldbeek, it’s true that I can’t just slide it in and shoot in a few seconds, but because I now require a lot more to get ‘off’, I have discovered a whole new world of sexuality that I am now able to explore .......and all because I have a fabulous Coloplast Titan that is ready and able 24 hrs a day.
I would not wish to go back!
My days of ‘rock starring’ around the place gave me plenty of chicks but they could easily outlast me, now the shoe is on the other foot......and it keeps me fit!
Now?
.....I love my implant :D

Had I known: implants existed, cost and side effects of pills, cost and scaring from injections, how many vacuum pumps I would wear out over the years, discomfort of rings, how often the pills, injections would also fail, how many times I would not be ready yet, how many times we would have to stop early because of pain from the constriction rings, I would have had an implant in a heartbeat, Even if I had to do it twice like I did to get one that was usable. The lost size and scaring will be your biggest enemy waiting and many of the temporary fixes cause scaring, peronies or do nothing to prevent it. That is one reason I think people like Merrix and a few others had such great success. They did not wait till their penis deteriorated and was scarred to go for the ultimate fix. As long as your pills give you consistent results and you don't start getting pinched places,or bends, still can get a morning woodie, stay where you are at but if you have to move to something else then it starts to get risky. I know, I've been chewed out here before about it, there are some who claim they have injected 1,000 times and no issues, but that is not the normal case.

I do not have 'full impotence' but will be going ahead with the implant route, have my surgical pre-assessment in September and then wait for the date. In my case the ED is only part of the reason. I have what the consultant has diagnosed as a 'complex Peyronie's' with a 45 degree left lateral and 80 degree dorsal curve. I can still get an erection, a hard one with the Sildenafil, but cannot maintain it for long (three or four minutes max) and cannot have penetrative sex thanks to the complexity of the penis bending. The grafting procedure required to correct the Peyronie's will likely, in the view of my surgeon, lead to further deterioration of my erections with time, if not immediately, that would then require escalation to injection therapy (and with my history of Peyronie's this is not recommended) or implant. After much discussion, the option of primary penile implant and reconstruction was the one most likely to correct the Peyronie's and leave me with a functional penis post-recovery.

Yes, part of me wonders if I'm going too far too soon, but with a very supportive partner and a very experienced specialist surgeon both looking out for my long-term happiness, I feel it's the right thing to do. I could go for the grafting/reconstruction surgery alone, and hope that everything works OK afterwards; but the less surgery I have the better and given there is a high chance of failure (from the ED perspective) I'm not inclined to risk multiple surgeries. My decisions are somewhat coloured by an inguinal hernia surgery that left me with genito-femoral nerve pain so severe that I was on morphine for the longest time, I readily admit. But as others have said, why delay the almost inevitable? Even if things go wrong, I can't see me being any worse off than I am right now...

Peyronies_dave, my situation is much like yours. My doc is recommending the AMS CX, do you know which yours is recommending and why? Will the doc also do grafting at the same time?

My implant is Aug 8th. And I already regret the many years of mediocre to no sex that have been lost forever. If you look at the questions carefully you'll see that each is based on SATISFACTION. If you are truly satisfied with mediocre sex, then wait. The chances of an implant giving you even worse that that are very slim. But the choice of having great unending sex if you and your partner want it or having what you've got now is entirely up to you and your wife. Choose wisely. You won't regret it.

regarding sensations and feelings in my penis: "I am 100% as sensitive as before" Sex feels incredible because I have no worries about losing the erection, so I can focus on her moans and groans and on exploring that glorious hole down there with slow and fast thrusts, shallow and deep thrusts.

regarding premature ejaculation and implant: "I still have a problem of coming too soon" this has been lifelong for me, and although it got a lot better during the first 5 months after implant (when I was indeed a little numb on the undersurface of my penis), I now am just as sensitive as ever and still come far too soon for my tastes. However, the beauty of the implant is that I can keep thrusting even though i have ejaculated since the erection will stay forever --- and that is a grand thing.

My sensations and sensitivity are so good now that I have resorted to sometimes using lidocaine spray (for example K-Y duration spray for men). That leads to a much longer thrusting session and a really explosive orgasm once i get there.

So, for me, the act of sex, and the sensation of penis in vagina is far superior to my experience before implant.

By the way, if I had to do it over again, I would have had the implant in my early to mid forties. Currently, I am in my mid fifities. Sex is everything for the thirty and forty year old, and the women in that age group are able to handle the pounding that an implant guy will provide.

I try to keep my mouth shut and let others do the talking. But I have to speak up. I will probably come across as a 81 yr old freak that has “lost it” ..(mind .. not my erection).

My 8 yr old implant has given me the most profound positive change in my life. It has been so good that I actually seriously considered encouraging my sons to have the implant even though they do not have ED. They do not need an implant but they would love to have one. I know… stupid thinking.. and I did not follow thru. I kept my mouth shut again. Probably a good idea.

Because of implant my interest in sex skyrocketed and I learned how to have multiple orgasms. I developed the art of edging want, “rolling thunder” (endless orgasm after orgasm) and self esteem when I look at my package with no worries. I was unable to do this before my implant.

Yes.. I was scared shitless before the implant. But now? I am choosing an optional revision, running the gauntlet and not looking back. I can’t wait. Screw the pain and discomfort. I don’t care. I want an even better dick without my inconvenient pumping problem with my AMS 700.

Back up plan if things go wrong? I can now have MMO without a hard dick. So all is not lost.

I admit to being addictive to sex. I was not before my implant, but now I am. Which raises another point. Do you want to know what may be the best reason to NOT have an implant? BECAUSE IT IS TOO GOOD! It is hard to concentrate.. go to work.. do the other things in life besides sex..when you have this guy in your pants screaming for attention. Yes the implant is constantly reminding you that he is there. A good reminder.

So worrying about size, brand, approach, etc.? Yes.. but get past that and do it. You will forget about the negatives. And do think about your old age approaching.. you can look forward to retiring to The Villages and reading the advertisements by women for men with “the pump”.

Sorry for my post.. my implant is calling me. I have to go. See you later.. hours later.
