Viagra Failed Today - Implant is My Only Option - Need Your Help Badly

Postby alterr » Fri Jun 22, 2018 9:24 pm

An hour ago I took 100mg viagra to test my erectile ability. It failed. As a result I have no choice but to get an implant. I live in NYC so I'll want to see Dr. Eid. At least 5 months ago I should've got this sh'it resolved. But I thought that since I randomly had gotten morning erections that there'd still be a good chance that I could avoid an implant. Apparently I'm dead wrong.

Things could get worse though. This past week a girl in my past told me she wants to visit me in September. This puts even more pressure on me to get an implant fast considering 6 weeks post-op recovery which means I don't have a lot of time. I need to get an implant as soon as I can. Monday morning I'll schedule an appointment with Dr. Eid to convey to him the gravity of my situation and place me on his calendar for surgery as soon as his agenda allows.

To be honest I don't know how this will turn out. Dr. Eid is highly recommended by my uro so I'm confident I'm in capable hands. But I don't know which is the best implant for me since there are a few. Medicare is also insurance I most likely qualify for (I'm 47) but I'm not sure what type covers the surgery and other necessities. I'm jumping ahead I know. But I'm desperate considering my present situation.

Here are my questions:

1) Which is the best implant? Obviously a man wants to have as much girth and length. A uro discussed that length would be shortened by 1 inch because of surgery. Which then is the best implant that gives the best size and also pleasure and comfort during sex?

2) As to which type of Medicare would cover surgery, I've created 2 threads on this without ANY clear answer. Hopefully someone with experience with it can give a good answer.

3) A natural erection is better than an implant from what I've read from implanters. But is it better than injection in terms of sexual pleasure?

.
ED since 1996. Peyronies in 2012. PRP in 2013 and 2017. Dr. Brock, urology, NC, USA. Cialis and Viagra stopped working since 10/2017. Haven't been on Trimix since 3/2016. Will consider injecting it again. Will be prescribed testosterone injections soon.

You’ve made an excellent choice making an appointment with Dr Eid. I wouldn’t worry. He can test you and give you options. If you do go for an implant, trust his expertise and go with whatever he recommends. His office will have answers about insurance

Dr Eid will choose the correct implant for your size and shape. The loss of 1 inch is not my experience....after 16 months and a regular program of “cycling” (pumping up to max. twice a day) I am at least the length I was before I suffered ED and my girth is excellent.
Pleasure and comfort during fucking?...10 out of 10!

2) As to which type of Medicare would cover surgery, I've created 2 threads on this without ANY clear answer. Hopefully someone with experience with it can give a good answer.
It’s an American question and I am an Aussie....can’t help.

Caverject can be very effective and created an excellent 1 hr erection for me.....but only a masochist would love sticking a needle into the top of their cock!.......Gently squeezing my third testicle to create a monster “never quit” awesome erection as my GF sucks it is way more fun than jabbing it with a sharp! :D The sexual pleasure for her...and me is superb.

Hi Smetro,

Appreciate your answers. Theyre very comforting and confident. This Monday I cant wait to call Dr. Eid's office and schedule a sit down. Its about time.

Got a question though. How long after you scheduled your first visit with your surgeon to 1st discuss implant as an option did you actually get surgery?

Last nite as I said I took viagra (100mg). 9 hours later I had gotten a hard-on which wasnt that satisfying. The hard-on was intermittent and I also had low libido with it which I suffer from chronically.

Let em know what your thoughts are on this. Thanks.

I live 1200 miles from my surgeon. We did a Skype consult and 3 weeks later I flew to Melbourne for surgery. I had an uneventful procedure and an excellent recovery, probably because I keep in tip top shape.

I regained my length entirely over 12 months of pumping up daily.
My girth is excellent at a nip under 6”.

I understand the libido deficit......when my cock was limp I was the same however the fact you want to do something meaningful and restore your erections speaks volumes......your libido is asleep not dead!

If you have a willing partner and you get an implant prepare yourself for a whole new life of sex. Why? .......because you will be potent anytime you or your partner wants.
My GF loves watching porn and that makes me smile and also keeps my libido bristling.......you don’t have to worry that watching porn will kill your erections.......it’s the reverse!
Your life, like mine and many others on here will never be like it used to be.
We become masters of helping women have incredible orgasms......and that my friend is simply amazing
Don’t hesitate.... Carpe Diem

As another Aussie, I can endorse Smetro's advice 100%, although we went to different surgeons and - as far as I know - are rooting different women. (Because, you know, all Aussie sheilas bang like dunny doors in the wind...)
1. Dr. Eid is likely to know best: it is his business to do so. For what it's worth, I was told that AMS are more flexible when deflated, Coloplast harder when inflated. Maybe that's true. I don't care. Yes, problems do occur from time to time, but both are well-established therapeutic devices. Oh, and like Smetro, I didn't lose any length at all, although I was warned that I probably would.
2. This is a US issue that only the GOP can answer.
3. Of course natural erections are great - if you have them when you're not asleep. Like my mate from the north, the idea of penile injections makes me shudder. I had no personal or spousal resistance to the idea of going bionic. I will say that the sensitivity of my super-cock varies a bit from day to day, probably more than pre-op. That fact that it is usable all the time is some compensation ;)
Melbourne, Oz. Radical prostatectomy & titan implant at 60. Size uncertain, but big enough to hang onto. Nah, it's huge!
