I have a severe peironye, as I have counted in other occasions, and they have proposed this exposition to me: A graft and in the same operation an implant.

Search the posts. There was a guy a couple years ago that did in Washington state if I remember correctly. At one time I could have remembered his name and doctor (Walsh?). He wrote extensively about it. It is a very involved surgery that can add 1-4 mores hours to the surgery which increases many risks but of the 2 that I've heard that had it, both had excellent results. Eid has MUCH success in straightening peronies bends just with the implant. Kramer states in my video that getting the extra curve out was not worth the extra time, cost and risk of the 2 more hours surgery. In the case of the guy who went to the doctor in NW U.S. and had it done, it may well have been. He was happy but it was a long surgery, long healing and if I remember correctly, had a bit of a time finding a doctor to do it. Really depends how severe it is. Some doctors use a reasonable approach to what is best for the patient. Others are like used car salesmen that will sell you anything on the lot. Consult with a good doctor who has the reputation of straightening w/o the extra trauma first. A good doctor will likely tell you if it can be done or not. Best as I remember, Eid and Kramer said the graft can shrink as it heals so there is the risk of having a curve after also but to a lesser degree if your is severe. Keep in mind, scar tissues shrinks. It does not stretch and expand. Cheers man. Be well.
