I am having trouble with my right cylinder not inflating properly. It has been a lot better for the last week. I have the AMS 700 LGX so I hope to regain most of my original size back over the next year. I used to be in my younger working years 6.5-7. I am now at almost 5.75 at max with forced pumps but could not see having sex with that now. Still early in the game for me now at just over 9 weeks post op. I have posted a picture in the Implant Pics. thread on page 2.

Not sure what my problem is. Guess I am just one of the unlucky few. Thing is my local guy does not have a clue and my surgeon is 1400 miles away. Something to think about if you have a really good surgeon in your area. Had I had a really good surgeon in my area I would have never left for this.

Carefully choosing your surgeon is a critical decision in a successful implant.

One thing to consider is that there aren't many experts to consult if you have complications your doc' wont acknowledge or cannot fix.

@Newbie443 did your surgeon measure your flaccid length before surgery? What was it? Also When did the ED meds stop working before you had surgery?

The "Benchmark" they want to quote today is, "Flaccid Stretched Length Test".
Well, just how hard are you going to pull upon it ?
They avoid quoting any "hard" figures that can be referenced back too if they can.

Some say gains go past the year mark. We all are different and if you start cycling at day 3 vs. day 56 I can see gains taking different lengths of time.

No measurement. My surgeon and my local uro both pulled on it a bit and said that is what it would be. Both were about the same and I could have pulled it about an inch farther.

I went 10 years without doing anything for my ED. When I did see someone, nothing worked well enough. I could get a very impressive marsh mellow for a minute or so but nothing firm enough or for long enough to be of any use.

Donnie referenced his surgery was $94,000. That is likely the number submitted to the insurance company, not what the insurance company actually paid to the doctor, hospital, etc. Insurance claims are a screwed up mess. Twice I have seen the amounts my doctors have submitted to insurance and also saw what they were paid and it was a huge difference. Last fall I went for my annual physical and was accidentally sent a bill with the totals they submitted to insurance rather than the bill I had to pay. I had a flu shot at the same time. They submitted $198.00 to insurance but the shot was $35.00 my cost. It’s a big racquet and largely why ourmedjcal costs have gotten out of hand in the U.S.

I am 64 and had ED from a VL. Implanted by Dr. Ronald Anglade in Atlanta on 9/18/17. I have an AMS700LGX 21 cm via a Penoscrotal incision. Very happy with results. 6" soft and 6 3/4” x 5 5/8” hard.

A good surgeon will use the right size implant for you. I also think a good surgeon will set an appropriate expectations. The stretch test is a good rule of thumb but not perfect. I went in with 7 inches and came out with 7 inches. I did vacuum pump for a couple months beforehand, surgeon recommendation.

Greg,
94,000 was the total of the itimized bill I received. 21,000 alone for the implant. Then this was adjusted and that was adjusted. After what insurance actually paid and a ministry discount my out of pocket was around 800. Yes, it is a racket.
