Implant surgery options

Postby tomas1 » Wed Jul 18, 2018 4:27 pm

I had my 6 month appointment with mu Uro today.
His nurse asked if he could bring 2 trainees along,
I said all right.

They turned out to be young women but that didn't bother me.
I did have to object to have them do the digital exam to see what an enlarged prostate felt like.
That would just be uncomfortable for me.

Anyhow, I told him I'm almost at the end of the trail with injections and asked for a pretty strong quad-mix.
It's like 120, 30, 3, and .01.
You probably know the ingredients?

Next I asked if he performed many surgeries.
He said sometimes 3 weekly and sometimes none.

I then asked if he used the scrotal approach. He asked why I wanted to know, and I said I'd heard it's less invasive.
He said he uses it at times but it depends on the body makeup.
From most of what I read, I don't think I'd like any other approach.

I'd appreciate thoughts or insights about what he said.

Read Quincys journal. He had an easy operation infra pubic. I had infra pubic also but doc had me pumped 90% for 4 weeks. Never heard of any dr doing that but he had been going them for 30 years. He says he has never nicked a nervein over 6000 operations. The cut was vertical. (may ask about which way your dr cuts). Don't think I would want a horizontal cut. My cut was 3/4 long. the reservoir is under my pubic bone. Can not feel it. Tubing all laying flat and pump sitting in the middle. I am happy with everything except his healing procedure. If your surgeon got his degree at USC in LA, my Dr probably taught him. About 50% do infra pubic because it is less invasive.

Thanks for the reply. I hope I didn't come across as a smart ass or dumb shit asking about the scrotal approach.
This has to be one of the most important decisions I'll have to make and will get it explained thoroughly.

It’s a bit of a red flag for me that he answered your question about approach with another question. That bugs me.
