I'm guessing he ordered Caverject for you. When I was doing Caverject, I NEVER paid that price of $580. Insurance was covering most of it and I was paying about $7 per injection. (Not bad considering Viagra was wholesaling at about $10 per pill then.)

http://www.caverject.com/

Some months, insurance would cover Caverject. Other months they'd cover Edex instead. They're the identical drug. (Alprostadil) I actually preferred the Edex delivery system. (That's the only difference between the two. And if getting the system where you mix it yourself (Alprostadil powder and separate sterile water) they're identical.)

As far as an auto-injector, I see some guys rave about them. Personally, I wouldn't like it. I've self-injected my testosterone as well as other steroids with just a regular syringe, no problem. My arthritis drug comes in an auto-injector and I wish it was a regular syringe. I don't like the "mystery" of what split second will the needle hit. I much prefer having that under my complete control. But that's just me and it's not all that critical in the big picture.

One 5ml bottle of Bimix or Trimix costs me $80. I can get about 15 doses (or shots with the correct dosage I require). Thats roughly $5 per shot. Ask questions, and make sure you understand how much it is going to cost.

They will ship to me here in Iowa but wondering how much

This is new news, so Dr sent in for my first prescription of Trimix the cost is $165.00 for 5 bottles and he said you can get 2 shots a bottle. The probem is once you thaw it you have to use in in 3 days? Has anyone put the remainder in the fridge and gone 5 days? What happens, he told me by law he has to tell people 3 days not sure what that means he said you cant re-freeze.

My insurance said they cover all but 10% but the pharm told me its not covered because its a compound, does anyone know if the place in Texas takes insurance? the guy I'm going to is right here in Rock Island, IL 5 miles from my house but he does not use anyone's insurance.

what a catch 22

I wonder what size the vials you get that only give 2 injections?

I used to get 4, 2ml vials locally here for $126.

I kept the 2ml vial in the refrigerator for maybe a month with no noticeable degradation that I noticed.

I don't know if Talon accepts insurance, but I'd guess not.
Since we don't take any expensive meds, we never bothered with prescription insurance.
I do have an out in case of something bad since I did sign up with the VA, but don't use them.
If my wife ever needs high cost stuff, I guess the kids won't inherit as much lol.

Talon charges me $122 for 10ml shipped. That's for quad-mix, and lessor formulas may cost less.

Avella (I think that's the name), in Phoenix also is low priced but not for quad-mix.

You just have to read the posts and shop around.

Good luck.

If you only get two shots per vial you need a stronger mix.

I get 10 1 ML vials for $120 or so and get a good 10 shots out of each vial. I don't bother with insurance at those rates.

I use mono-mix but my pharmacy charges the same for tri-mix. My mono-mix has just alprostadil (PGE) as the active ingredient which is the most potent ingredient of tri-mix and is also the most perishable ingredient of tri-mix.

The vials stay in the freezer. I take the vial I'm using out of the freezer. Just as soon as it fully liquefies I draw my syringe and immediately put the vial back in the freezer.

The container holding the viales says "Store in freezer". It also says "If refrigerated discard after 3 days" and "If frozen discard after 45 days". I've kept it over 6 months in the freezer without a noticeable problem.

Does someone have the Phoenix lab web site link I want to check there to see cost. Someone on here said they got 10 1ML bottles for $122.00

Looking at my receipt I got 5 1 ML bottles for $165.00 not sure how much I need till Monday but that does not seem like a lot, I can get refill after 45 days.

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"

Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"

Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)

Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."

Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)

If you need further help, please ask, that's what I'm here for.
