Actually, I figured it out by hanging out here in Frank Talk and going back to the uro multiple times with suggestions.

I think that's where you are right now. In your case you seem to have a uro who simply wants to move you along to an implant. It's always been my feeling that an invasive, elective surgery should always be a last resort.

An implant can also be risky if you are without insurance as you seem to suggest. Implants are a five-figure hit on the wallet, and there is the chance of additional surgery down the road if a revision is necessary.

Look, I'm 61 and I would love to have an implant. The ease of use of an implant beats injections any day, especially for a single man like you. Still, in your case I would advise waiting until you are convinced that injections won't work -- and after you have good health insurance.

Just my two cents.

P.S. Get another uro.

I'll be 61 in a few months so I'm not far behind you. Maybe I need to start another thread with my results and see If I can get this figured out. I can get an increase in size with Viagra and Tri-mix but not useable firmness. And not for very long.

I have insurance. I have the best plan I can buy in my state. Common theme on the implant sub board is it is better to have a hard usable 4" than a non working 6". I'm not ready to trade my 6.5 for a shorter and most likely thinner replacement. If I do pull the pin on an implant I will most likely be going to a very good uro out of area and be out of pocket. My car is paid off so I just look at that down the road the same as I would buying another new car. I figure that would be the best chance to get as close to my original size and have success the first time. Maybe I'll be surprised and insurance will pay something but I doubt it.
Injections failed. Implanted 3-21-18 AMS 700 LGX 21 + 1 RTE 100 cc reservoir 6.5" L 5" G Dr. Kramer.

Proximal Perforation Sling Repair 4/13/21 Dr. Broghammer

66 years young.

Will show and tell and talk with others.

If you do what the doctor tells you to do, you will not lose size permanently. Regularly cycle adding more pumps, keep pumped up longer each time. :)

My size is really lacking when flaccid. Even stretched is nothing to be proud of. But in the past when game time came it was impressive. Very thick. Narrow at the base and really a lot of girth 1/2 way and on up. If I get injections to work I'll take measurements. Lots of questions I need get answered. The cylinders I have seen looked to be pretty much the same diameter bottom to top. Posts I have seen on the implant section seem to be of size lost with implant. One guy posted after his first his wife said it was smaller and was that way for many years until the implant had to be replaced. Many others had to have 2 and one 3 implants. I have no desire to improve on what I had. It was great when I had it. I just have this thing about going though the whole process and having to make due with a lot less. But if that is the only choice it will take a bit of time to accept.

Part of my story that I have not written is that I have diabetes. I did not control it for a long time. The last five years I have really taken care of my self. I am off insulin. Lost 100 pounds. Exercise every day. Watch my diet. But I have a lot of neuropathy. I feel very little below my knees. I can tear a toe nail off and not feel it. I have vascular damage visible below my knees. Slow stomach empting, trouble swallowing, balance issues, and ED that indicate autonomic nerve damage. So there is a bit of thought about my uro having it right to do it now while I still can have some results with injections to take measurements for and implant.

I just need more time to process it all. I need to find out what recourse I have if the first one is not successful. What if any problems I will have to live with and not have any recourse for.

Thank you all for the input and help. Taking the time to read and write comments. I am sure I will have more question and just having this place to read about others experiences and be able to share my own is a god send. I would have given up long ago with out it.

We have a lot more in common than you know. I have type 11 diabetes and am about 70 lbs overweight. I have a suprapubic fat pad that I had liposuction done on when they did the implant three weeks ago. Before my implant, my flaccid dick was about 1" of flappy skin. Everything else was inside the fat pad. After the surgery I still only have about 2 oe 3 inches and when I pumped up the other day it was only about 3 or 4 inches but it started to hurt so I quit. Much better than before and I have a LGX so it will continue to grow but still nothing to write home about. But even if it never gets any bigger, at least my sex life is not over. :)

I can get close to 5" of thick wood now with injections. But it hangs low. Not useable as it is still not hard enough and doesn't last very long. Early days I was a solid 7". I have a bit of fat pad left. I am still loosing weight but thank you for the info on lipo for it. Uro office just called and they finally called in the script. I'll work on more answer's and see what I can do with the new mix. He didn't bump it much.

The plastic surgeon said he took about 500 grams of fat off but, even though that's not much, the doctor says that it's not the amount of fat taken, it's the trauma to the area that causes scar tissue and tightens which basically eliminates the fat pad.
