Steve - your prognosis is excellent based on your post. I would have dreamed of erections of a sort in my first 3 months. As it is it will be a long hard road back to long hard erections using only orals. You could realistically expect to be able to have excellent results with oral drugs eventually.

From my experience I would just warn that improvements will be both gradual and at times, inconsistent. Best wishes for your recovery and do try to get the best professional help, it would have made a real difference for me I'm sure.

Muz:
That's what I'm hoping for. I got a pretty good chubby in the shower yesterday after my 50mg Viagra 3 times a week dose. I think the hot water has something to do with it too. A little encouraging cause I'm still not wild about the needle thing although I do it because I know it's important to keep arterial blood moving in and out. I did the Papaverine injection today (.3ml) and got about 50% for a half hour. I'l kick it up a notch to .4ml on Wednesday.

Things are working naturally now after about a year and a half. No more injections for me.

Steve,

I'm not surprised you're not wild about the needle after the pain of the Caverject straight med. Most guys get too much pain from that one. I just detected you were getting the run around from your clinical team - I didn't get great advice from Day 0 else I wouldn't have been so complacent.

From memory I was getting some "mild tumescence" I think is the words for it, in my first 6 months and was assured that everything was on track. The pills were crazy price and having only small effect so I waited for Father Time to heal. Actually it's Brother Blood you need and if 50 of Viagra is having an effect at 3 months I think you have every right to be optimistic. Optimistic but not complacent Steve. The single best improvement for me has been having a Trimix once or twice a week, I hope to start alternating with the new affordable Avigra (clever spelling eh?!) from the makers of the first ED pill and become less dependent on needles. For all that the injections have been nothing like as bad as I expected.

I wasn't really getting the run around, it was more a problem of no response to my attempts at communication with them. If I get the same sort of treatment when I try to contact them concerning the Papaverine I'm using right now I won't hesitate to cut my losses and move on to another ED specialist. This morning I increased the dosage to .4ml (40 units) of Papaverine and got about 60% for about a half hour. The prescription calls for a full 1 ml dosage but I wanted to start low and work up so as to use only as much as needed. It's starting to look like I'll get close to the 1 ml to get 100% for about and hour. (My approximate goal). Is it possible to get Papaverine in a stronger concentration if I do indeed need a fairly large dose to get the desired results? I prefer to not inject so much volume if I can avoid it. Also, since I've started using the Papaverine I'm getting what appears to be a bruise at the injection spot that last about 3 days. Does anyone know if there is any correlation between these 2 things and fibrosis and/or Peyronie's? There's no pain or hard spot at the site of the bruising.
It would have been wonderful if the Alprostadil (PGE1) had not caused the pain because otherwise it worked great. (100% for 60-90 minutes)

Steve: I think you probably will want to try bimix. You will use less of the drugs and find better rusults. Talk to you soon,

Hey Jeff,
You're probably right, but I'm determined to take it slow right now to be sure I end up with the right stuff to use. If I eventually find out the straight Papaerive isn't for me then I'll suggest Bi-mix to the doc and see what happens, although I'm thinking about trying Tri-mix with a low dose of PGE1. The good thing is there are a number of options for me right now.

Steve, you will not get an arguement from me. Sounds like a great plan.

Merry Christmas

Well, because the Papaverine alone is not gonna work as hoped I'm gonna try Trimix. I've started a new thread called "Moving on to Trimix" which I'll use to document that segment of my injection journey.

Steve,

You might want to go straight to Trimix. I had issues with pain with the Bimix early on. I had started out at 15 units and eventually ramped up to 35 units. At 35 units, it was painful (not as painful as yours) and my hard on lasted 2.5 hours. It was no fun having sex with my wife with a painful woody. I have since backed down to 18 units with no pain and a 1.5 hour woody. I have had no success with pills, so it is pure injection and pumping for me. I would like to know how things turn out for you.
