Has anyone had experience getting Trimix covered under Medicare D?

My insurance doesn't cover ED stuff but I figure my mix costs me about $25 a month so I'm not going to worry about it.
R.R.P 2011 Mayo Jacksonville, Dr. M. Wehle. Nerve sparing - damaged. C in margin. Radiation 2023, V.E.D, Viagra and PGE-1 (80mcg/ml) injections @ ~ 14 units. Originally Edex20, then compounded PGE-1 - cost. Inject. 12 yrs. It works. Treasure coast of FL.

You're lucky they do, I've heard many Ins Co's aren't covering ED meds.

Larry,
They cover Trimix? That would be surprising as I've read Compounded ED medications (Trimix, Quadmix, etc) are not FDA approved (i.e.caverject) and therefore not covered.
Lucky you!

No, not trimix... I was responding to the one talking about RD medications. Mine covers Viagra, Cialis, etc. Trimix not only isn't covered, it damn expensive.

My employer sponsored drug plan covers the excess over $50 copay. However, 10 mg of Trimix only costs $80.

Each of the individual components is FDA approved; however, the mix is not.

If you have *DRUG* coverage for medicare (separtate)..it may cover some ED drugs. TRIMIX is cheap per injection...so not an issue for me. I have MEDICARE with no drug coverage option.
