Hi fellas. My first prescription of TriMix says it is no longer good after 45 days. Is this your experience? I would hate to throw out good and expensive medicine. Also instructions say use only three days. Is every other day harmful? thanks much

I think most people keep it frozen. Some claim that if kept frozen it will last a year. Thaw what you need and keep the rest frozen. Some labels apparently say not to freeze. I can only say to follow your doctors advice. I use mono-mix which just contains the alprostadil which is the most perishable (and effective) ingredient of tri-mix. I keep it frozen. The label says to keep it frozen. I pull it out of the freezer, let it thaw to liquid, draw out what I need and pop the rest back in the freezer. That way it will last 5 months for sure. Going on six but it's about gone. I just picked up the new batch. If you freeze it you should keep an eye out for crystallization which some have reported. You wouldn't want to inject little crystals into your dick.

I frequently use it every other day. More often than not. I've even used it several days in a row on occasion. Dick hasn't fallen off yet.

If you do a search on this site for "freeze trimix," you'll find that many (most?) of the trimix users here keep their vial frozen and thaw it only to fill syringes.Shelf life far beyond 45 days is common.

Here is what my injection log says about the last four vials (10 ml) that I used:

1) 3/15/16 to 7/25/16 Roughly 130 days

2) 7/25/16 to 1/22/17 About 180 days

3) 1/22/17 to 6/14/17 About 140 days

4) 6/14/17 to 9/27/17 About 100 days

There was no loss in effectiveness across these time spans. My practice is to thaw the vial once a week and fill as many syringes as I expect to use that week.

You mean half eaten containers of vanilla pudding all over your stinky gym shorts?
All kidding aside, when I was working as a paramedic, we were taught this about some medications, like nitroglycerine, if it is expired, it just wont be as effective and it will continue of that non effective slope until it no longer does anything. :)

I have thawed frozen Trimix after six months in the freezer and found it to be as effective as freshly shipped Trimix. I have also used Trimix left unrefrigerated for over thirty days with only slight reduction in effectiveness.

Being relatively new to Trimix use, I experimented low to high, to find the dose, but keeping it frozen, with a couple minutes with the vile in your hand, to unfreeze (fill the syringe, then put it back in the freezer) , my initial dose and prescription worked just as well at 8 months, as it did at month 2.

A recent study performed by a well-known toxicologist and pharmacologist of some 14 common drugs from the 1960's showed that 12 of the 14 had zero degradation (identical performance), and the other two medications were still at 80+% of original benefit.
I can't remember if this stat is only that of the U.S., or worldwide, but apparently (and due to *use-by* labeling, some 800 million dollars worth of medications are thrown away yearly by pharmacies and hospitals yearly, which leave one wondering how our legislators and the FDA would require such waste, unless billions in profits are the reason, which this study seems to indicate. Just a heads-up, as apparently even the AMA tried to have these dates extended, yet met with push back. :)

Bingo. the drug companies own congress like another organization that will go nameless.

I hope I live long enough to actually see the Independents have some power in this country.
