Sometimes I would leave as much as a third or more. Sometimes I'd use all of it accepting the pain. Not good to do I guess but most times I can find a use for an extended boner time frame although I know it's pushing the time envelope. I'm sure I've broke both the 4 and 6 hour rule. Besides, what I didn't use was wasted. Waste not, want not. Realistically I'd leave 1/4 most times. It's a lot easier to use the correct amount when you can slurp up whatever amount you want into the syringe like I can now.

I wouldn't make a habit of it but I really don't see why you can't do a second injection while experimenting. Try the .5 this time. If after a few minutes there isn't much of a noticeable difference from the original .4 then then go ahead and hit it with another .2 or .3 if your syringe is capable. please don't construe what I'm saying as actual valid medical advice

My 2 injections so far have been a miss. I was given 28g 1/2" BD.
I did not get a lump or bruising. I must be going too deep, and hit urethra.

I am thinking of making another appointment with the FNC-BC at the urologist. I did not see the Dr, but he did give a good shot, and explained things well. I thinking I am just so nervous, and pushing the needle too deep.

Try again. Insert the needle as directed and demonstrated by the Doc. I use the 11 or 2 positions. Make sure you're still angling towards the middle. Don't go in near as far as you have been. Try pushing the plunger gently with the tip of your forefinger. It will require a little pressure but not much. If it goes in without difficulty you're in far enough. If not go a little deeper and try again. Repeat until the plunger goes in easily. That way you can learn the depth that works for you. The depth will vary depending on where on the shaft you are at. If I go near the tip I don't go as deep as if at the base. Often there will be a little extra pain telling me when I pierce the inner skin. I'm sorry you're having difficulties sorting it out.

That might be my problem, not keeping the angle towards middle.
He said to leave 1/4" of the needle showing, so I'm pretty sure I have it at more of an angle to see the needle depth.

Since both missed injections has not left any bruising, or swelling , and I just injecting into flesh?

If the plunger was easy to depress you probably found the urethra. If there was pretty fair resistance I'm guessing flesh. In my experience there is a very noticeable difference in plunger resistance when you've correctly pierced into the cavernosa. But hell, I'm no doctor or medical expert. I'm just sharing based on my own experience.

Part of my successful technique is to insert the needle, draw back the plunger--if you see blood, then you've hit the sweet spot; if not, then you've missed the mark--and then push the plunger to inject the mixture. My uro told me that and it works every time. Good luck.

What needle are you folks using....I use a BD UIltra-fine II which has a 5/16" length needle.. I find the plunger to be resisting so I pull the plunger back and forth several times before I fill the cylinder. I use Trimix and draw up 20-25 units. I warm the Trimix by placing the needle in my armpit for a minute or so and then inject close to the base of the penis at 11 or 2 and at about 75-80 degrees. I press the tip of the syringe into the flesh of the penis until I feel somewhat of a twinge which I feel tells me I have hit the correct spot. Nine out of ten times this works. Any comments? Am I following a similar procedure to others injecting?

I use Easy Touch U-100 insulin syringes 31gauge .3ml/cc 5/16"/8mm.

I do depress the plunger all of the way in and then draw it back out past where I want it and then inject the air into the vial before drawing out the med. That probably has the same effect as what Ahappigui is doing.

As for warming I just let it sit out for a few.

I don't inject in the same area all of the time. Along with alternating sides I move up and down the shaft. I do usually feel the extra twinge of pain at reaching the "right spot" but not always so I can't count on it. Towards the tip I don't go as deep.

My success rate is darn near 100%. I've only really had one complete failure where I probably hit the urethra but that was a long time ago. I did have some learning curve issues where I had to reposition by further moving the needle after inserting and one where I had to remove the needle and reinsert (that one was actually recent and a surprise). But after the initial learning curve my injections have been darn near 100% trouble free.

I've never withdrawn blood first as I determine the same thing by plunger resistance but I can see where that would work. With me, if the plunger doesn't depress easily I don't depress it. I deduce that the needle isn't placed correctly and then correct the problem, usually by going in another smidgen.

Thanks for your comments bldoink....
We are using a similar syringe, mine....30 gauge, 1 ml, 5/16" 8mm.

Yes, I too vary the spot and alternate, but more frequently use the right side....perhaps because I'm right handed.

I'm very careful to not puncture a vein, but a few months ago I had a situation where I had slight swelling and bruising at the injection point for several days. My success rate too is fairly good.

I've never followed your procedure of depressing the plunger all the way in and then draw it back out past where I want it and then inject air into the vial.....I've never thought of that being the reason for plunger resistance. I've always thought of the resistance being the plunger's tightness to the edge of the vial. I will experiment with your method.

I very much appreciate your response! Cheers!

PGE1 alone at this dosage was not great. I went to .95 on syringe. It was just enough to have sex, but no where near a quality erection. I almost did not even try, because I did not think it was enough for penetration.

He now has me trying trimix 30/1/10 and to start at .40

I am not sure if I should maybe do a .20 first.
Considering my reaction to PGE1 alone at that dosage SHOULD the .40 be a safe first injection?
