wildly different results

Postby Robert-CA » Sun Feb 05, 2017 5:54 pm

My doctor started my on a bi-mix injectable a few weeks ago. He started with a very low dose (and got some results) and gave me instructions for gradually increasing the dose.

Here's the problem: I'm up to a dose that is giving me a satisfying erection about half the time. But the other times, it doesn't work at all. Not even a little.

I'm going to e-mail my doctors tomorrow, but has anybody seen a situation like this - where the same dose will sometimes work well, and other times not at all?

Are you sure you are injecting directly into the Carnavosa? If not you will not get an erection.

Fordman: I had similar inconsistent results with tri-mix. Finding the optimal formulation and dosage is a result of trial and error. Ultimately we never got consistent results with injections. Lots of guys do, so you need to work with your urologist and compounding pharmacy. After about a year of variable erection quality and duration, we bit the bullet and got an implant. My story is cataloged under Cincinnatus. Good luck.

I also don't think it's getting into the cavernosa. Make sure you can withdraw a bit of blood after injecting. The more blood see, the better in my experience.

I'm new to Bimix and having the same issue. I believe I am missing the cavernosa. There's a leaning curve to injecting the correct way.
Retired. R.P. 2016. Bilateral nerve sparing surgery. Now use .15cc of Bimix twice weekly & anorgasmia, moderately incontinent. Wife no longer interested so go solo with Electro-stim using Erostek ET-312. Now am Type 2 diabetic.

I had very similar issues and al these replies are very good so I will try not to repeat. On Trimix I would have either too strong & too long or no erection at all. After reading many great previous posts on franktak I was confident my injection technique was fine. I actually had to get some ER assistance twice now because of priapism which is someone I never want to do again. My doctor's solution is to switch to bimix using a different ratio. I needed to take a break from all the injection stuff but am looking to try the bimix this week.

Definitely triple confirm the injection method and site. I do think you can hit an area that feels perfect but is not the cavernosa. Lot of trial and error.

BTW, I feel like we are all the pioneers of our time trying to figure out how to use these chemicals. Hopefully one day men will look back and appreciate the work we have done.

What was duration? If you do research you will see Priapism is defined as OVER 6 HRS duration and *prolonged erection* is less.
Drug companies want to cover all the bases and tell you to seek medical help at 4 Hrs to insure you are treated within 6 hrs....allowing for an additional 2 hrs for actual treatment. Medical treatment goal is to resolve the issue within 2 hrs AFTER seeking treatment, so that puts you at 8hrs for resolution. I can tell you that you will not have an 8hr erection ;) ...but that's just *my opinion*. I've had 6 hr erections...and average 5hrs (no pain) with zero issues. The *4 hr* line in the sand is extremely conservative and...in my OPINION...results in unnecessary stress..anxiety...and>>>$$$$ for ER treatment.

@rahod1, I must agree with you, as I have had many erections lasting over 5 hours with NO ill after effects. I have had a couple now, that have lasted 7 hours with no problems afterwards. I have not gone to an emergency room to resolve long duration erections. I run up and down the stairs and lift weights, which seems to decrease the erection quite well.

The 4 hour rule is mostly drug companies and doctors using "cover their asses" policy, as in this manner they can better avoid legal problems by being so conservative in their time parameters.

Glad to see other's like yourself realize this. It's a shame so many people stress over the *4 Hr line in the sand* and I can imagine how many have gone to the ER when they could have stayed home. I'm convinced that damn close to 100% of them would never go beyond the 8hr mark (no confirmed documented damage at this duration that I can find). Combing the literature, I have found that 12 HRS seems to be the threshold for *possible* damage. In fact, I found a German article that stated the 4 HR threshold was probably too conservative for initiating treatment.

Chiming in a month or so after this thread has started, but I agree with the others who say you're missing the corpus. I had similar issues. When I visited my urologist for a follow-up, he had me move the location of the injection. Many references say to inject close to the base of the penis. He had me inject only about 1.5-2 inches behind the glans, and at 10:30-11:00 instead of 9:00 (again, many references say this). Also, try to feel the secondary "resistance" as you move through the tunica (the tough membrane surrounding the corpus). The plunger on the syringe should then go in smoothly with little resistance. I do not withdraw the plunger at all as others suggest to "confirm" you're in the corpus.

When I followed these instructions, the results were quite a bit better - I was able to reduce the dosage of Bimix by a lot. I was up to 40ml with mixed results and a max 80% erection. Now, 25ml gives me 100% erection for nearly 5 hours. I'm dropping my dosage down to 20ml next time. My Bimix prescription is a little unusual: Phentolamine .5mcg / PGE1 20mcg -many Bimix's are Phentolamine/Papverine.

Good luck!
