I am new to injecting ( once in Dr office and once at home) and would have gladly paid $20 for a tutorial and education collection! My questions were...
Q - how deep do I push the needle? Should I angle it so it doesn't go too deep? I was concerned that with a flaccid penis I would push through the corpus cavernous and miss the target.
A - I learned you should inject straight in, the two corpus cavernous are against one another so if you did (unlikely) push through you would enter the other one. Also they "communicate" and share blood so hitting one is a good as hitting the other.
Q - What about needle size?
A - my Dr/pharmacy recommended 31 guage 5/16, 1ml capacity. I don't know how he made that determination, is that his preference or does he base it on the diameter of your flaccid penis?
Q - Does it hurt?
A - not at all...I would call it less than 1 on a 1-10 pain scale.
Q - should it get fully erect after the injection?
A - probably not, stimulation should move it fully erect.
Q - how far up (from the base) should I aim?
A - about an inch.
Q- should I be worried about hitting vein?
A- Worried is a strong word, avoid the veins you can see through the skin.
Q - I'm really nervous about priapism, when should I panic?
A - I don't have an answer for this. My first home injection I had a 3.5 hour erection. At 2 hours I panicked and took 120mg of Sudafed and walked the neighborhood for 3 miles. I iced my crotch and it finally started going down. I was scared. I would have loved some facts...about when real damage can occur, when should I panic, when might you need to go to the ER, a list of home remedies.

Just a comment around the GO SLOW mantra... it's TRUE, you can always inject more (within reason). My starting dose was to be 0.10ml. I discerned that 0.15 + 0.15 at the doctors office produced an errection that required a shot of Sudafed, so I'll start at 0.12 ml. My next time I'm dropping back to 0.06 ml and add 0.04 ml additional if needed after 15 mins.

I think this is a great project...if I can help in any way please let me know!

Bogeybob;

There is a great video that was recently entered;
https://youtu.be/1KocDktwX74

As for needle gauges, 32 is the smallest gauge recommended for the delivery of most medicine. I use a 32 for my insulin and I can barely feel it but, the larger the gauge, the slower the serum is delivered (large is skinny, small is fat).

Hope this helps.

On another note, posting a little reminder/challenge now and then that the Forum relies on donations to continue to exist might help current members to dig into their pockets.

In fact, if I wanted to make a new contribution I don't know where to go.

just click the DONATE button at the top of the screen.

Larry,

I hadn't noticed this post previously. IMHO this could be the basis for the starting kernel of a sticky.

When I was inquiring about gauge size a year or so back, I was advised that 32 was only available for pens and that 31 was the thinnest needle available for syringes

In my experience, I had severAl missed shots and bent 31 X 5/16 gauge needles so I changed to 30 by 1/2". Rarely experienced an issue since switching over.

As long as people don't just try to make you get an implant, I don't have a problem with it.
I've posted on the "implant forum" when I can offer an opinion.
Who knows what the future holds?

Most implanters have injected before and their advice / answers are valuable.

Very true as long as their answer to every question in the Injections forum isn't to get an implant. That has at times seemed to be the case.
