VED for penile rehabilitation

Postby wellick » Mon Apr 10, 2017 7:18 pm

I've been wondering if using a VED for 10 minutes a day (for rehabilitation not sex) can have a beneficial impact on ED?

I'm talking here from the perspective of someone who didn't have a RP.

Is there any science or anedoctes to back this up?

Either for improving ED or for preventing further worsening. Regardless of the cause of ED.

There is some useful information in the "Implants" forum in the thread

"Who of you were advised to use VED by either Kramer or Eid?"

Thank you. Although that post was about penile rehabilitation following RP. I was wondering if you guys think it could help for ED with other etiology (any etiology). Since erections (nocturnal erections, for example) are indispensable for maintenance of good penile health, VED in theory should help somewhat, right?

Right.

There is a protocol for doing just that. Vacuum draws blood into the penis , you hold for a short time and repeat many times. Erecting to the max is not necessary.

This differs from the protocol for length restoration/maintenance, where the vacuum-induced erection is held for several minutes and maximizing stretch is desired.

The former protocol theoretically substitutes for the beneficial effects of the periodic daily and nocturnal erections of a healthy penis which washes nutrient and oxygen rich blood throigh the penis. It falls a little short of a perfect substitute, as venous blood as well as arterial blood is able to be drawn in to nourish the tissues. But it is better than nothing, and tends to maintain elasticity as well.

It did for me. It was taking higher and higher doses of PDE5 drugs to achieve about a 50% success of just penetration.
I bought a medical grade pump and incorporated a routine into my nightly rituals before sleep. Pump and release over and
over for at least 10 minutes a night. Within 2 or 3 months I started noticing morning wood for the 1st time in years.

Some studies show the initial inflow of blood to be about 79% oxygen.Studies have shown success in using a VED in conjunction
with PDE5 drugs.

If you don't need restriction rings get a sex shop pump with a gauge and a quick release button. The cost is low and works as well as a
higher cost medical grade pump.

Do NOT pump to the point of pain or even discomfort. There is a learning curve for these devices.
