Thanks for the idea. I'm going to borrow a Pos-T-Vac, whic does have a ring applicator. I thought that putting the ring on before pumping would prevent blood flow into the penis.

Outflow is venous and veins are located close to the surface. Flow into the penis is arterial.

I used a Post T Vac manual pump with two of the smallest tension rings just to keep a hard dick. After intercourse, I had to take one ring off at a time. My dick still hard especially the head. It was torture. It also made my dick like a rock balloon and my wife hated it.

It's sometimes difficult to search through the many informative messages on this forum, so I'm going to ask this question again - i apologize if it's repetitive.

I'm 1 year post-prostatectomy. I've been trying a pump as part of penile rehab. Have been on Viagra 60mg (now 100mg) 3 days/week since a few weeks after surgery. Beginning Bimix injection therapy next week.

I can pump up and get a full erection inside the pump tube. But as soon as I release the vacuum, I lose all of it. No matter how quickly I apply a tension ring, it doesn't "keep".

I've tried numerous types of rings - the "lasso' style, various sizes of silicone rings from rather loose to rather tiny, even a leather "cinch strap" where you can pull and make it as tight/loose as you can. None of them maintain the erection caused by the pump.

I do try to apply it even while the vacuum is applied by pulling the pump away a little bit so there's room at the base of my penis to slip the ring on before releasing the vacuum. Still no luck - within seconds, I'm limp again.

Anyone had this experience?

Ron

I put the restriction ring on first then slide my penis ring into the tube and pump it up to a firm erection, then release the vacuum and slide my rockhard penis out, try that, works for me

Using two rings seems to work for me.
DaVinci radical prostatectomy Nov. 2016. Dr. Erik Pasin in CA. Both nerve bundles spared. Continent since catheter was removed but still dealing with ED. Sildenifil did absolute nothing for me. Pump working OK but erection not holding well enough for sex.
