Tom, I did not know there were two types. I would assume that the massage oil "not for internal use" would be a coconut "scented" oil and not really coconut oil. The can of coconut oil I bought at Walmart looks more like lard until it is applied to the body. Once it warms up over 76 deg F, it becomes a slippery liquid.

The one thing that surprised me was that it had no coconut smell nor a coconut taste. It virtualy had no smell, and a very bland taste. But written on the can were statements about it being a good substitute for butter in receipe's. So, we've used it that way as well.

Thanks for that, kbota. I had forgotten what Paul said earlier about coconut oil in the solid state. I'll be on the lookout for some. We don't have a Walmart in this part of England. And it isn't sold in the supermarkets or healthfood stores in cans. I might have to order it online.

I finally bought some coconut oil, but how do you dispense the stuff? When you try to scoop some out with a spoon, it crumbles all over the place. I know it has no coloring, perse, but I'd rather not have bits and pieces of the stuff melting into clothing, bedding, furniture, etc.

josh,
When it is cold and hard like that, I sort of scoop it out by using my fingernails - backward. It easily piles up on your finger and from there it's basic.
Also, can you keep it in a warmer place? while it solidifies at 76 degrees, it is sort of soft and shortening-like for several degrees below that. Above 76, it is liquid - so don't put it on the radiator!
Fortunately, it does not stain at all. So, no, you don't want bits and pieces of coconut oil hanging around, it won't do damage...just might be a surprise!

kbota,

Hey there !! You mentioned coconut oil at Walmart, but on two occasions, I have tried to locate it at Walmart. Do you recall where in Walmart you found it ? Is it in the grocery area of Health and Beauty ? We want to try it for pumping and intercourse, so we just have to find it.

Thanks
Dallas

Coconut oil is usually in the organic foods department of a grocery store. What you will usually find, is Spectrum, Organic Coconut Oil, Refined. This is refined and has no coconut smell. It also tends to be quite hard, almost wax-like when cold and can be hard to get out of the jar. At 75 degrees, it is liquid. At a nice, comfortable room temperature, it will be like shortening. This brand and packaging is meant for cooking.

Now, the coconut oil that everyone uses for all the great health benefits, is UNrefined. It will have a slight coconut smell, be smoother, softer, and not get quite so hard. You can get that in most health food stores. Apparently some claim it does, indeed, have amazing properties which the refined oil does not have. For instance, if your wife has yeast infections, unrefined coconut oil helps prevent them. It is also an antifungal, antibacterial - according to
http://www.organicfacts.net/organic-oils/organic-coconut-oil/health-benefits-of-coconut-oil.html. Be wary of these sites, however, their claims are not substantiated beyond anecdotal info. Just glancing at it, I see some statements which I doubt. I have read coconut oil has just the same number of calories as any other fat. That makes sense. This woman claims it has "lesser calories" (LOL - I'm sure she means fewer calories).

Either kind is great for sex, it does not dry out, will not stain sheets, and after sex, there is no clean up. In the morning, it will have absorbed into your skin and disappeared completely. It's great for masturbation too. If you just want to help lube things out a little bit, it works, if you want to be dripping in slick, slippery oil, just add more. It is great in the shower since it seems to get slipperier there but does not wash off.

Either oil is completely ingestible. I do NOT know about coconut oils interaction with sex toys made of latex, silicone, plastic or rubber. I am sure it should not be used with condoms. Give it a try. Women especially seem to love coconut oil. It is warming and does not dry out.

My wife suffers from yeast infections several times a year. I will definitely advise her that regular insertion of my coconut oiled penis will help prevent future outbreaks.

Shaving cream is great. Cheap, seals well and washes off easily. Don't know why everyone doesn't use it....

The coconut oil works very well. I put it in the sink with some hot water for a couple minutes and it's then liquid. Then you're free to do whatever you need to...
