Hey all, new to this subject line, been on FT since I had my implant back in 2015. Like a lot of men (from what I have read) who have had the implant I have lost length. Pre implant I was average 5.5 in, now I'm only at 4". As with most couples we both have added a few pounds and now penetration sex is impossible. Are there any guys here that have had success restoring length with a VED?

How often do you have erections?
You should be using your implant (causing an erection) several times a week to prevent atrophy.

I am having my follow up with my physician end of Feb… will report back his take on it. I can tell you that I was told to use the VED prior to implant surgery to maintain the length and girth I had, I’m a normal fat bald white dude with normal 5.5” dimensions… the doc placed a 24cm no RTE in me. When I woke up from surgery, he pointed to my belly and said, “You got a lot of penis in there”. So I do believe it makes a difference. FWIW!

Congratulations on that, but the question as I understand it is whether a vacuum erection pump is appropriate after penile implant surgery.

(1) Does post op pumping wear on the cylinders?
(2) Does it have any tendency to injure the penis?
(3) Does it restore penile girth or length or no?

I've been looking into this topic. Here's the research I've found from Dr. Perito and Antonini

Not sure what the take away from this article is. Did men have success post-op?

I have been using a VED for two months and the only noticeable gains are immediately after removing the pump. Next day its back to what I was left with post-op

I recently ask my dr. that question and since I have a Rigicon mallabble he told me not to use a VED for fear of possibly stretching the tissue our longer than the implant and making a floppy glans.

The take home message of this study was that VED use twice a day for 5 minutes improved pre-op stretched length by 3 cm and girth by 2 cm in 74 men implanted with AMS IPP. Not too shabby.

Ok so that's pre-op, what about post-op ?
